He has been a partner at two boutique class action firms, Moore & Leviant LLP and Spiro Moore LLP (formerly Spiro Moss LLP). Presently, Mr. Moore is the principal attorney in the Law Offices of J. Mark Moore. Before beginning to represent plaintiffs more than ten years ago, Mr. Moore spent his early career as an associate, and then a partner, at a Los Angeles-based, national law firm where he defended major corporations in class actions in California and other states. His practice currently consists of handling class actions involving violations of consumer protection statutes, illegal lending practices, and other consumer claims. Mr. Moore also has a developing whistleblower practice, in which he represents individuals in "qui tam" cases involving fraud on the government, involving claims under the federal and CA statutory false claims acts. Mr. Moore has been appointed lead or co-lead counsel in numerous class actions in state and federal court, many of which have resulted in substantial, multi-million dollar class action settlements. He has litigated class actions against major corporations including Microsoft, Countrywide Bank, Washington Mutual, Bear Stearns, Toyota, General Motors, Ross Stores, and Ceradyne, Inc., among others.   Mr. Moore received his B.A. in Business Economics, with honors, from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1992, and his J.D. in 1995 from the UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program Board. He is licensed to practice in California and admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California. When he is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, and traveling to exotic places.
