I was very apprehensive about filing a bankruptcy. After speaking with a few attorneys on the telephone, I called James Kent. He put me at ease during our first conversation, and kept things that way from beginning to end. Mr. Kent has been doing bankruptcies for years and years and recently closed his office, although he still does a limited number of cases. I did not find this to be a problem and we pretty much did everything by email, fax and telephone. He is extremely detail oriented and explained to me that things will go much more smoothly if we are thorough on the front end.His fee is about the same as other attorneys I spoke with.
I was getting absolutly nowhere with the lawyer I had retained to collect an outstanding debt owed to me, her communication skills were virtually non existent. I found James Kent on AVV0. I visited him in his office where he re- established my faith in lawyers with his positive attitude, experience, obvious knowledge of the law, calming affect and no nonsense approach to my problem. He has been wonderful. He promptly took the debtor to court and monthly payments were set up. He kept me informed of the legalities every step of the way. He simply took over the case, parried all the issues head on and expediated results. No more waiting and wondering. He answered my queries the same day by email or telephone, in complete contrast to the previous lawyer. I would most certainly recommend Jim Kent to anyone who needs a caring, efficient, experienced, lawyer. Thank you Jim
I had major problems with the IRS and Mr Kent took total control of my situation, solving my problems beyond my expectations.
I have had Jim represent me in three different bankruptcy cases. A Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 where I was the debtor, and in a Chapter 11, where I was a creditor. He stuck with me every inch of the way and kept me fully advised at all times. Definitely not a bankruptcy mill.
