My license was to be taken away for 1 entire year, there was no driving privilege sought out for me by this attorney ( I didn't even know I had that option, that it even existed, he never mentioned it to me). I went an entire 6 months w/out a license (more on this coming up). I worked, I was in college, I was a volunteer at my local church three days a week... all this had to stop. No one could take me to all these places. I had to move to Greensboro (out of town) to live near my college campus during winter so I could walk to class. I had to find a new job near campus. I had to live away from my family, and I accepted all this because I did not think anything else could be done. This attorney never offered anything else either, no options. I figured this is how the court system works. It was my first time ever being in court. 6 months in this new life, my then girlfriend (who works for an attorney) talked about my case to her boss (the lead attorney) and he quickly set up an appointment to discuss my options.
