Jim Gross provided me the highest caliber, personalized counsel and advice over the course of years, from the time I separated from my spouse through my final divorce and then later regarding a subsequent followup tust and estate matter. He is conscientiously careful and even conservative in the time he bills, thereby removing at least some of the anxiety from an invariably stressful experience. As a lawyer myself I have worked with and against many attorneys, and Jim Gross stands out as the only lawyer I would wholeheartedly recommend without reservation. I can affirm from my own experience and that of friends and colleagues that Jim is knowledgable, responsive and trustworthy to highest degree in his family law field.
My wife and I had been going through a rough patch in our marriage. Mr Gross' counsel was excellent. He took his work very seriously and always looking for the best solution possible.
I am extremely pleased that I hired Jim Gross. Before and during our first conversation, I was quite nervous, stressed and unsure what to do and what to even say. His calm demeanor was reassuring and immediately made me feel at ease and protected. He handled my case with professionalism and in the end, I appreciated his no-nonsense way of getting things done. This was my first time hiring a family law/divorce attorney and I was struck by the commitment it takes to represent and work with clients through the bitter end. He heard me and understood what I wanted to accomplish, and he delivered. His level of responsiveness and calmness was simply a godsend and personally inspired me, above and beyond my case. I highly recommend him. In fact, I look forward to getting a copy of Money and Divorce.
I first retained Mr Gross in 2010 for help with my ex-wife’s shenanigans. I was immediately impressed by his straightforward yet reassuring manner. He responded to calls and emails the same day and gently reined me in when my emotions tried to outrun my brain. He worked well with my ex’s attorney, and protected me from her attempts to shape reality to her own design. Since then I have consulted him off and on for various matters and he has always treated me as if I were his only client, and as if we had just spoken a few days earlier. I most highly recommend Mr Gross to anyone wanting to win a case and retain their sanity.
I contacted several lawyers before finding James, and I did not like how bombastic they were. James is methodical, listens, and works effectively. I had a nasty custody case and a very difficult ex who was out for punishment. James and his colleagues handled his antics with aplomb. They also worked to get us into mediation (something my ex was refusing at first), where we ended up with a mediated agreement that included every single thing I wanted from the beginning. James is highly responsive and never failed to give great advice from someone who has seen it all, or an encouraging word when things seemed bleak. I would recommend him enthusiastically to anyone who needs an excellent family law attorney.
I've reached out to Mr. Gross on two separate ocassions over the past 4 years with specific custody and visitation questions. I was fully prepared to pay for several hours of his time, but Mr. Gross was able to answer all my questions via email and then over the phone, saving me a lot of time and money. I was able to resolve all issues with my ex-spouse, using Mr. Gross's advice, without having to go to court. I would absolutely use Mr. Gross's services again in the future.
Jim Gross handled my divorce proceeding flawlessly. His legal advice was right on the mark throughout the process. His nudging of my spouse's attorney was very effective when progress became stalled. Jim exudes an aura of confidence and competence which was very reassuring as the matter moved forward. He was extremely responsive to my questions and concerns and contributed significantly to the favorable outcome of the separation agreement. He is level-headed, unflappable, and was a major calming influence during some stressful times. His knowledge of divorce law is outstanding. I enthusiastically recommend him to potential clients.
I used Mr. Gross for my divorce and he made me feel completely at ease that he would do the worrying for me. I valued that peace of mind, and appreciated that everything was being taken care of by Mr. Gross so that I could go about my life. He's extremely knowledgeable and fair and I would hire him again in an instant.
Mr. Gross was excellent throughout my entire case. I had called several other attorneys for consultations and immediately after calling Mr. Gross he provided advice and a clear strategy. I retained him quickly after that. He was always informative throughout the process and I felt his hours billed were very fair. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. My divorce was not the most complex in nature but I feel Mr. Gross' professionalism and knowledge would let him handle much more complex cases.
Jim is an incredibly affable professional. He helped us through a very difficult moment, drafting our Separation Agreement for the purpose of entering the process of divorce. When we met, we got right to it. There was absolutely no padding the cost, and he very graciously answered all of our questions even after he met his obligation to us. I highly recommend, and will most certainly reach out to Jim for any future needs.
