James was professional from the start and helped me organize my evidence for a bitter relocation dispute. When he presented the new parenting plan proposal to my child's Mom, she immediately moved to resolve and I became primary custodial resident with joint decision making. He's great at telling hard truths and legal facts that will prepare you for litigation or resolution, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you for helping to change our child's life for the better!
I called James Garts, after I caught my wife in an affair, to brace for possible divorce. James listened attentively, finally asking "Do you want to divorce your wife? I think you two might be able to work through this." (Here's a top divorce attorney recommending I leave his office and go save my marriage. I knew at that moment that James was on my side and wanted only what was best for me and my family.) A year later my exwife, supported by a notoriously aggressive divorce attorney, had taken every step I could imagine to make our divorce as hostile as possible. False accusations of child abuse, mother relocated our child to a new school district. Attempted financial extortion. etc... I was dumbfounded and crushed by her hostility but James kept the case moving along with sage advice and keen insight. My ex refused to accept any mediation or offers and insisted on pushing our case to court. I was terrified of the financial consequences. Again James, and the staff @ Robinson & Henry, P.C., kept my case moving forward soundly through court. In the end I was completely satisfied, even pleased, with the court's ruling. I am certain I would have ended up in a far more dire outcome without the professional excellence of James and his team. James is worth every penny.
I visited James Garts for legal advice a couple times. He was referred to me by a co-worker because I was looking for a family law attorney. James explained things to me very well and let me know what all of my options were. I could tell that he was very experienced and on top of things in a short matter of time. I felt like I had his undivided attention any time I spoke and he was really compassionate about my situation. I knew that I wanted James Garts to represent me but I didn't have a lot of money. So, unfortunately I ended up obtaining legal representation with another attorney and haven't been very satisfied. I hope I never have to go through family court again but if I did, I know who I'd choose a second time....James Garts.
When I first met with James I had been served with divorce papers the week prior, and my now ex-wife had filed a restraining order prohibiting contact with her and our 4 year old son. She had hired a notoriously malicious (and very expensive) attorney who in less then a week had me feeling hopeless and literally afraid that my divorce might include a jail sentence. The day I met with James he had started the ball rolling to allow me to spend fathers day with my son, and had completely changed my outlook. The divorce process itself was hell, even our arbitrator commented that in her decades of experience she had never seen a divorce with this much drama. It was James' advice, and sometimes heavy handed guidance that kept me above all the slander and allegations from my ex and her attorney, and eventually left me sitting on top when the dust settled. In the end I was able to keep my home, nearly all the property I wanted, and I was able to negotiate over $2Ok in alimony payments down to $8k. However what is most important is I have a 50/50 custody plan for my son, and he is going to remain with my school district. I can't say enough about how happy I am with James and the service he provided me. From my perspective there is absolutely no question that he outperformed opposing counsel whom my ex paid nearly double in fees.
