This attorney wasted my time and limited resources for several months before I realized he was not interested in an expeditious solution to my legal dilemma. His only concern was mindless, banal correspondence with the opposing counsel. He was discharged after three months and I found the resolution of my legal issue elsewhere. I whole heartedly agree with previous reviews that he will take as much money from you as possible while never looking for a resolution to your issue. His temerity knows no bounds.
James goes by Robert Eckley as well. This law firm is a scam. They told me that my case was a simple case and that we had a very strong case. After putting the retainer down they sucked it dry on meaningless charges such as updating my trial binder and would bill for an email about charges. The representation that I received was not worth the money. They continually overpromised and under delivered. In my opinion, James/Robert Eckley is extremely unethical the way he handled my case and client matters. He used outside people on the case and told me he was going to charge me less and then covered it up by billing me at a higher rate for them. Eckley will claim he has authored books and is familiar as an engineer in the industry. However, his authority means nothing when he continually loses in front of judges on legal matters. He also takes the approach that he will not try to facilitate a settlement, but rather will continue to delay the case at your expense. Their approach of not taking proactive steps to settle was a detriment to my case and something that only benefitted him, by getting more money with court fees. He will deliver no results after sucking you dry of money. You will be better off representing yourself than hiring this firm/ attorney.
This lawyer is just after money. My case was easy as Mr. Eckley had stated during initial consultation. But right after I paid $10,000 my case became 'very complicated' and cost me tremendous amount of money and seven months to settle it for pennies. Mr. Eckley handled this case demonstrating deliberate delaying the case, giving me erroneous advice, using his former employee as a consultant (conflict of interest) and constantly increasing his bills.
