About
Law became my second career in 2004. I had previously worked as a writer, editor, and public relations/marketing professional in higher education. I entered the legal profession late in life because I wanted to do something truly productive and helpful to people who found themselves in legal conflict with the "system" as well as with other individuals who refused to respect the basic human rights of others. Much of my practice in the family law areas is focused on correcting the generally accepted view that children are too often the victims of problems that arise in the relationships of men and women, married or unmarried. By helping the parents move quickly and peacefully through a relationship problem, I think I can have an influence on protecting the children from suffering any more than what may be expected in relationship break-ups. I am married. My wife Pamela and I have four sons, the youngest of whom is 32 years of age. We have six grandchildren. All of our sons are hard working, honest young men who have no history of being involved in drugs, drinking or crime. My wife and I are Christians who adhere to a belief in God and in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
