I took him on as my lawyer for a class action lawsuit because he was locally based despite having the opportunity to sign with much bigger firms that were represented nationally. It is a mistake that I regretted immediately. The main issue that you face when working with him is that communication is really poor. You will never hear back from him regarding even important details unless you are very proactive. He gives attitude if you call him for an update and outright ignores emails. There are way too many options out there for you to have to settle. Find someone else.
The sad thing is that no one cares that they are working for / with you at this firm. I also had a terrible time with Mr Feinman and his team. Both he and his team were disrespectful and unprofessional! When I went in for my consult, I met with Andrew Finicum who never even shook my hand. He seemed to be unwilling to listen and kept asking me what would I settle for. Signing on with them was one of the worst mistakes I ever made! The entire time I had dealings with this firm I was threatened that if I left them, they would "make sure no other lawyer would take my case" and that I would still owe them (which happened). Andrew Finicum and James Feinman are both equally as bad. Can't expect quality from the bottom, if it is not even obtainable from the top. This firm is very unethical, they have a major lack of respect and consideration for their clients. They could never give a straight answer about my case, other than to take the 1st offer given. Which was obtained less than 72 hours after I signed paperwork. The offer was for 1/3 more than what I had been offered to begin with, basically they got their fee added. Andrew dropped the ball at every turn and James said he would take on my case with Andrew since I was dissatisfied. Dissatisfied I remained! Even the defendant's lawyer stated that the firm was handling the case poorly. Andrew didn't respond to contacts from the defendant's lawyer, lein holders and myself. The lein holder's started contacting other sources about my bills because the firm was not communicating with them and they figured they were no longer representing me. Andrew turned in documents late and blamed it on not being able to get a reply or needed information from me. He missed dead lines and never requested any info from my job or from me. How can you represent someone & fight for their lost wages with no employment information...You can't! How can you be working to get my claim settled to pay my medical bills if you can't provide your client with a total of the bills... You can't! How can you be contacting the medical providers for updates & to see if they will lower the cost of the bills if they are calling me asking me to set up payment plans... You can't! From day one, this firms only goal was to obtain their fee. The only thing either of them could ever tell me for certain was that they were going to lower their fee to make sure everything worked out but that I would have to take the offer. The only reason they could lower the fee is because they had not done much to earn it! I asked for written documentation as to totals of the claim and the change to the contact (lowering of their fee). They would not provide me anything in writing, I'm no lawyer but even I know that changes to written contracts must be done in writing, not verbally! Almost a year later with the same pitiful quality of representation, the same offer I came with plus their fee and no answer to if the offer would cover all the bills... I was worse off than when I first signed the contract. I spoke with James he told me the offer was the best they could do, that I probably would get less if we went to court (which they never intended to do). I told him I would think about it & call him back. I called him back about a week later and I explained that in a year I had no more info from them than I orginial brought to them. That I was dissatisfied and that I would settle just to be done with it. I was verbally attacked and disrespected by Mr. Feinman! He was yelling that it was their offer, I could not get another lawyer, that I would not win the case because I was the problem. What was it that I couldn't understand & to comprehend that they were doing me a favor. He continued to be irrational & irritate yelling he has "no time for this", "has better things to do with [his] time". In my mind he quit, they say they were fired! Either way I didn't get my file until after they had missed another deadline to submit documents to the court
Mr Feinman represented me after a horrific car accident in which I was hit by someone who ran a stop sign. Aside from significant injuries and permanent restrictions, I also had a rough time with Mr Feinman. He called my sister and asked her if I was "always this stubborn" and then threatened me that if I fire him, he would "make sure no other lawyer would touch my case". I'd certainly not deal with this lawyer again. He is very unethical. I had to beg for a copy of our contract, my calls would never get returned. He did however manage to settle my case under 3 months. Hmmpph.

Hmmpph.
Hmmpph.
