I emailed several attorneys in the Denver area about advice concerning an incident where I was given incorrect medication at Porter hospital after a major surgery. Without exception they all asked how bad my injury was from the incident. When I said I was not injured other than the fact I suffered without pain medication the first day post op because the hospitalist didn’t want to give me anything else. That and being given medications without being told what they were, even when asked, because the nurses and hospitalist didn’t feel I needed to know. My wife, who was with me the whole time however, and has a background in medicine of more than 26 years, did not accept that answer. Mr. Avery gave me sound advice and how to proceed with getting some answers about how and why I was treated this way, all without recompense (payment). His responses were always prompt to my inquiries and his answers very direct and honest, sometimes rare when dealing with attorneys. He told me the truth, whether it was god or bad.
