Jay is one of the most honest and ethical lawyers I have ever known or heard of. He represented me in a very tough and complicated case. He was absolutely brilliant. I am not going to go into detail about his performance in court. All I will say is that "J.Cochran cant hold a candle to Jay Stafford".
I truly enjoyed working with Mr. Stafford. He was very professional and knowledgeable on the subject matter. Mr. Stafford was attentive to my needs regarding he sensitive nature of my case. He was very flexible with scheduling and kept me involved in every step of he process. He made sure that I understood everything that was going on, literally breaking down each step preparing me what to expect as each corner. He was a pleasure.
Jamaal Stafford Helped me with my Child Custody Case and it turned out better than I actually thought. He was extremely Consistent and Persistent he didn't take NO for an answer and he put me first as a client. I really and truly believed that he was there for me and not just there because it was his job. He made what I thought was going to be the worst part of my life into an easy going experience and made me extremely confident the entire time. Thank you so Much Mr. Stafford I honestly Dont know what I would have done without your guidance.
Mr. Stafford was truly a blessing. He returns emails, and is only an email away from answering your question. Mr. Stafford also knows his practice, I would recommend him to a friend and will be also using him again in the future. Thank you.
Mr. Jamaal Stafford represented me as my attorney for divorce and custody. Mr. Stafford was very professional, Accurate , Knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Mr. Stafford also kept me informed of the status of my case on a daily bases and in a timely manner. Mr. Stafford also e-mailed me copies of all court documents that he thought would be useful to me to see. Mr. Stafford worked on my case for endless hours including the weekend. I hired him late in the case and he was still able to perform his job very well. He was in constant communication with the opposing counsel to discuss the case. Mr. Stafford also gave me a follow up call after the case to see how I felt and to make sure everything I wanted was met regarding the case. Mr. Stafford is a very well polite and well mannered attorney. I would highly recommend Mr. Jamaal Stafford to anyone seeking legal advice or representation. I will definitely be keeping his cards handy just in case another law matter needs to be addressed. Thank you again Mr. Stafford for working so hard in helping me get reconnected in my children's lives.
My first impression of Jamaal was that he was personable and caring. However, he soon began to send me a barrage of e-mails asking me to pay for my initial consultation. I was turned off by that. I had spoken to at least 5 different lawyers who said that I did not have a case. So naturally, I was skeptical. I then proceeded to ask him to disclose any additional fees or percentages up front. He evaded the answers to this question and instead just reassured me that he could write me a demand later. So I paid his initial consultation fee - $415. I had explicitly told him that it would be difficult to pay that fee if I didn't have somewhat of the case. At the consultation, I felt my case crumble before me. He explained a few things that made me realize the return of my investment could be possibly low and even zero. He also proceeded to tell me that he would write a demand letter for $650. He would also take a third of whatever I got back. I don't want to go into personal details, but this is not a case involving the return of even $5,000. When I went back home to think it over, I received a barrage of e-mails asking for me to pay my initial consultation which I had already paid for! I explained to him and he admitted the mistake, but I continued to receive them! I knew instantly that I had made a huge mistake. For a case like mine and especially considering my financial situation, he should have offered me a free initial consultation or disclose his fees up front so that I didn't have to waste $415. I came to Jamaal in hopes of getting help from being taken advantage of by someone. Instead, I also got taken advantage of by Jamaal. STAY AWAY. Maybe he is a good lawyer if you have a slam-dunk case and money to spare. But he will not care about your situation as a "whole." I'm out of $415 when my family needs it most. He's just out to make money.
