Ms. Noel handled my step-parent adoption case about four years ago. My daughter's biological father was trying to contest it even though he had not supported her or even seen her in years. He also had an extensive criminal and drug history. My daughter desperately wanted me to adopt her as she saw me as the only "father" she wanted in her life. She was also scared that if something were to happen to her mother she would end up in the custody of a man who was a stranger and would lose the family that was an everyday part of her life. Ms. Noel took the adoption Court for a possible contested hearing and was armed and prepared to fight, but the biological father failed to appear and upon my daughter's testimony in Court the adoption was granted. My daughter and I now have piece of mind that my daughter will be safe and taken care of and she knows she will always have a family that loves and cares about her. That is a gift given to my family by Ms. Noel, one that I will never forget and am truly grateful for. Since then I have used Ms. Noel and the other associates at NOEL LAW as my attorneys for many various other matters and have always had good results and experiences with them. I would not recommend any other law firm to any of my friends or family.
Katherine Noel represented me in a child support arrears case. I had been to court several times with the county prosecutor and child support office both. I was owed several thousand dollars in past due support. The judge's orders were always in my favor, but with no support payments ever being made. Ms. Noel put in an appearance for me and went to court with me. Things then began to change for the better. Not only did I begin receiving support payments, but on a regular basis. My daughters father got ordered to pay the court costs as well as my attorney's fees. I have never been more happy with the outcome of my case before. Thank you Kathy for a job very well done. I will recommend you to anyone I know that needs a lawyer.
Ms. Noel handled my divorce case, which was extremely complex due to a huge custody battle. During that time, she was very professional and did everything possible to make sure my case had a favorable outcome. She and her staff took the time to get to know my situation and my family and I was always in the loop about my case. She was very knowledgeable and knew what steps I needed to take to ensure that I kept custody of my child, including obtaining a Guardian Ad Litem. I have never had another attorney fight as hard for what I wanted as Ms. Noel did in my divorce case. After my divorce case, she handled another subsequent custody issue and support related matter for me along with other civil litigation matters for me. Each time I was treated with the same professional and personal manner. Not only would I recommend her to other people, I won't use anyone else other than her.
Ms. Noel is representing me in a work release/sentence modification case and when I met with her she was very professional and extremely helpful; she answered all my questions. She made me feel very comfortable. I am very pleased with her and I am glad I went with her to help me on my case; I wouldn't have wanted anyone else representing me. I would highly recommend her to anyone! She knows what she is doing; she will take excellent care of you.
I have used Ms. Noel for several legal matters. The first being my divorce back in 2005. First and foremost, her rates were extremely reasonable when compared to others in town. She was able to explain the process, and make it so much less painful than it already was. She was very honest, did not sugarcoat things, but was kind while doing it. She never seemed to have a problem to answer any questions that I had, even though I know she was extremely busy. She was able to help facilitate an agreement where my ex husband and I never had to go to Court, but we were both happy with the end result. Recently, I have found myself in an abusive marriage. Kathy stopped what she was doing in the middle of her work day, to come to the courthouse with me, so that I was able to obtain a protective order for both my son and myself. Her main goal has always seemed to be to get what is best for her clients, and that they are happy with the end result. I have recommended her to many friends, and I know that the majority of them have gone to her for help.
I hired Kathy for a divorce/custody case. She lacked preparation leading up to the many trials during the proceedings. She was handed legally obtained video evidence of abuse of my children and allowed it to be deemed inadmissable with no arguement. Horrible in the court room and had no knowledge of the evidence presented to her.
We unfortunately had to use this lawyer as part of an estate proceeding. Trust me, after this behavior and service we would never voluntarily use her or recommend her. We tried to call several times to get through to her and we were never able to. We could only talk to the secretary. She recently set a very unprofessional and strongly worded letter in the mail threatening us, HER CLIENTS that are PAYING her. She is also "small town" in the fact that she does not make her email address known or include an area code with her phone number. It makes me wonder where exactly her law degree is from, and if she just paid for it without actually doing the work.
