LaPedis is a dispute attorney with over 23 years of experience handling litigation matters in State, Federal and Appellate Courts. Matters he has handled have involved a variety of property owners and businesses. In addition, his knowledge and experience in document review and contract review will help guide you in the right direction when making important legal decisions.Mr. LaPedis prides himself on providing his services prior to the litigation stage in the hopes that litigation can be avoided altogether. He has been through the litigation process on a multitude of cases, and his ability to easily explain legal proceedings and complicated legal matters in laymen’s terms has made him a valued asset to the real estate and business community. The Law Offices of Jack M. LaPedis strives to simplify the complex world of contracts and business dealings one case at a time. Ideally, it is best to work with an attorney and establish business contracts and legal action plans before they are needed. Once a dispute arises, the options are to settle before a lawsuit is filed, or proceed to litigation. Without a legal strategy in place beforehand, such a dispute can lead to the business owner or property owner incurring large financial expenses that could have otherwise been avoided. If you would like to resolve your matter prior to the headaches and stresses of litigation, this is the law firm for you!

Available, professional. And a pleasure to work with. We hired him for two contracts, a TIC agreement and a payment agreement for an associate. Also a small update on an operating agreement.
I was referred to Mr. LaPedis after a dispute with a contractor. I was hoping to settle the action, but wanted to be prepared with a competent attorney if we went into litigation. Mr. LaPedis read all the relevant documents and answered all my questions. He was incredibly helpful during the stressful dispute. Ultimately, we were able to settle but I credit Mr. LaPedis with giving me the information I needed to move forward. He was patient, honest and thoughtful. I would recommend him to anyone.
Jack was referred to us by a mutual friend. We had never hired a lawyer before and were a bit overwhelmed as we never thought we'd need a lawyer! Jack ended up being the best possible person for us to work with. He was extremely quick to respond to our request for help. He walked us through our options and only stepped in when he absolutely needed to. He was supportive throughout the entire process and made my wife and I feel at ease during the process. We would HIGHLY recommend Jack to anyone who needs a real estate lawyer!!
We sold our mother's house in Studio City and had some difficult issues come up that required legal advice. Jack was very responsive and level-headed with his counsel. He was not a "pit bull", which would have been one response to get through the issues with the buyer. Rather, he reminded us to keep our eye on the deal we wanted and find a way through it while legally protecting us as sellers. In the end, we came through with a fair deal and all was resolved.
This guy knows his stuff! If you need legal help definitely talk to Jack, he will answer all your questions!
Had some issues dealing with my HOA for months and decided to acquire an attorney to help me with this. Reached out to several attorneys on this platform and other big firms that I found on-line. Unfortunately I got very few responses. Those that did respond to me wanted truck loads of money to just talk to me. Jack called me back and offered to reach out to my HOA’s attorney in order to get a better understanding on the situation. He did not charge me anything, which blindsided me. Nobody works for free anymore! Four days later, my issue was resolved. If I had only reach out to Jack months earlier. I’m happy. I now have someone great I go to for legal help!
Jack helped us navigate a property line issue with our neighbors and we are grateful to him for his patience, clarity and persistence. He was always clear with us about our options, prompt with his responses and effective in his negotiations. I would highly recommend him.
Jack LePedis is now our go to attorney for legal matters here in Los Angeles. We were having a boundary dispute with a neighbor and he advised us and handled the situation admirably. I would recommend him to any of our friends. He's knowledgable and trustworthy.
I will always go to Jack first for advice and counsel. He knows what he knows and knows what he doesn't know. I respect (and hire) an attorney that is honest about whether he/she can help you and will refer you elsewhere if he/she can't. He has my trust and I trust his expertise!
In my fifteen plus years of professional experience in commercial real estate I have worked with many attorneys from good, bad, and worst and I can say Jack is one of the best! I’ve seen people go broke in attorney fees before their case even makes it to court due to excessive fees but not with Jack. He will listen to your case and provide you with honest feedback on your chances of winning your case and a good estimate of the cost. He will even workout a payment plan if needed. Jack will explain in non-attorney language the challenges of your case, the strong points, and how the system works and what needs to be done in order to increase your chances for victory. The truth is in the court system there is no such thing as an easy case or an easy win. Innocent people sometimes go to jail and sometimes a person who should have easily won a court case loses, that’s the truth in court and life. What you need in an attorney is someone who will give it to you straight and tell what you need to hear and do in order to “increase your chances of winning” and not just tell you what you want to hear and make you feel better by “guaranteeing you a win”? If you hired a professional lawyer because he/she guaranteed you a win, you didn’t hire a professional lawyer you hired a professional liar!
