Rain Law Firm has been working for 10 years representing businesses in varying stages of growth. The Business Law practice focuses on acquisitions, joint ventures, investment agreements, formation, franchise purchases and transfers, and management. The Real Estate Law practice focuses on residential distressed property transactions, real estate contracts, investor support, and private escrow. J Rain has a JD and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a Teir 1 Law School and a BS in Communication, Computer Science from Oregon State University. J Rain has worked for IBM in the Legal department in Mergers and Acquisitions, working on the integration of the billion dollar acquisition of FileNet, and other acquisitions including Micromuse, Watchfire and preliminarily with Telelogic.  His role with these companies ranged from helping to develop the business case, through due diligence, and finally with the integration of partners, suppliers, and customers with an emphasis on migration of contracts. Also at IBM J Rain worked in the role of Business Development, having written a plan for the Systems and Technology Group for the improvement of the use of IBM’s Intellectual Property.  Additionally he wrote a plan for the commercialization of new technology developed for the US Government. J Rain has an entrepreneurial sprit having started a company with two partners and bootstrapping it to a profitable annual revenue and a number of employees before being acquired himself in 2001.He works well with our community and is well respected by his peers and coworkers.  He brings unique global perspective having lived and traveled abroad.
