We retained Howard after many years of getting the run around with our lender who would not negotiate a modification to our loan. We were victims of predatory lending and were in danger of foreclosure. When we first sat down with Howard, he reassured us that he would be able to help us. He gave us several options to pursue and helped us choose the best option that would most benefit us. Howard worked diligently to keep us in our home until he was able to obtain a deed in lieu for us where we were able to comfortably move on with our lives. Howard was present at every court appearance and kept us up to date, returning our calls on the progress of our case at every turn. Were it not for Howard, we would have gone into foreclosure and ruined our credit as a result. We are forever in debt to Howard for taking this financial and emotional burden off of our shoulders.
Howard agreed to file a false quiet title action and a fake satisfaction of Mortgage from a fake company to help me try to defraud my mortgage lender. Howard was great. The scheme almost worked. Unfortunately now there is a criminal referral with the Nassau County DA ..but hey you win some you loose some he definitely tried hard and I have to give him credit .
I hired Howard Arber to represent me, it was a big mistake. the case was, I co-signed for a loan for a friend and he stopped paying the lender, therefore, the lender came after me. Howard, he accused me of fraud, he said all kind of things to me and made me feel low. He showed no consideration and he failed to conduct adequate legal research. One day, Arber mentioned to me that he is friend with the lender's attorney and he accused me of defrauding the lender and then I fire him. One day I hired another attorney, she told me Arber was supposed to file some papers with Nassau county clerk, he never did and it was too late to act on it. I located a few attorneys to try to sue Howard Arber for gross negligence, none of them wanted to take the case. They told me it was conflict of interest. This man should have lost his practice license, and thrown in jail like a criminal.
I hired Howard B. Arber for order protection case and did a bad job He took my money and recommended me to sign the contest and I was ignorant not understand the law un fortunate . I am not advise anyone to deal with him.
I hired Mr. Arber as my attorney. He represented in a criminal case which was ok. He does make promises he can’t keep. I retained him for a additional case which corresponded with the first. He gave me a price verbally of $3500. I gave him $1000 as a retainer so I thought. I asked for a itemized bill a month later and he got rather nasty. He gave me additional bill of now $5000 asking for more money. He claims he never received my letters of recommendation but they were all sent to me bcc’d. I was called a couple weeks after to be informed I was being charged for “research” even though he claimed he has worked in matter such as my case. He then sent me several threatening emails that he would stop services and take my $1000 but could not prove the work done. I am not defamatory his character. I just trusted his words and it’s hard not to hire a lawyer guy can not trust. Sad actually. Do your research before hiring him he’s too pricey to be gambling with your future.
Hired Howard to defend in a lawsuit. He did not focus on my case. He was unresponsive to my calls and lost a relatively easy case do to lack of communication. Would not recommend.
Does not know matrimonial law. Messed up my case...Tens of thousands of $$ later. His promises mean nothing. Either time to retire or focus on DWIs, a sure bet for him and his wallet,as he rides out to pasture . AVOID!'!!
Howard handled back taxes on a business for me. He told me everything was settled and I received a letter from the State saying the case was closed. Several years later I made the mistake of trusting Mr. Arber and added my name to my mom's saving account. Needless to say the State put a freeze on my mom's account and took the money from her.Mr. Arber did nothing to help me when I called him. He asked me to come down and sign a power of attorney. I don't know for what because he never returned my calls and I never heard from him again. Would not recommend him to my dog. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN,HE SHOULD BE DISBARRED! LOUSY ATTORNEY!!!
Dont walk run from this attorney now he's advertising as a DWI attorney he was advertising his self as a family attorney when I hired him he came to trial unprepared and I almost lost my case if I did not step in and defend myself, not worth a penny if you have a penny don't spend it on him.
Howard Arber is unethical , ruthless and incompetent to say the least. I hired him to handle an appeal and in doing so he didn't include 2 exhibits that were vital to having my plea vacated. He also gave me advise which lead to a violation of probation...which he guaranteed would never happen. I paid him over 6,000 dollars. I wound up in jail for 2 months, during which time I changed attorneys. I never signed a retainer with him for the money he asked for, and never received one bill ever to account how the money was being used. I called to ask for a refund for all the unused money, at which time he became nasty and arrogant. He agreed he owed me a lot of the money and kept putting me off and then never returned my calls. I filed a grievance and to this date haven't received any money back. He acts very nice when getting the money, gives dangerous advise, and couldn't even remember the key exhibits which he sited in my appeal. He is ruthless and unethical and has a very bad temper.
