Hillary Hoffman has been practicing law for more than 20 years. She grew up in rural New Mexico. After high school, she attended Texas Tech University where she graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration.After college, Ms. Hoffman was accepted to Baylor Law School. Baylor is the oldest law school in Texas. With a bar passage rate of one hundred percent, the highest in the nation, it is considered “the Marine Corps of law schools.” According to Princeton Review, the school has a reputation for “crafting great trial lawyers.” Baylor has an intensive program that provides law students with first-hand experience in trying a case from beginning to end, including pre-trial preparation, motions, depositions, jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross examinations, and closing arguments. This rigorous program is legendary.After graduating from Baylor Law, Ms. Hoffman clerked at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims for two years. She initially worked as a plaintiff’s attorney in New Mexico, working on breast implant cases. Then, she went into a career in government service, first handling cases involving children with special needs in education, training attorneys to deal with issues of child support, and finally working in administrative law involving employment, discrimination, and revocation of licenses. Ms. Hoffman also taught legal writing and drafting at George Mason School of Law.Ms. Hoffman is a single parent who loves taking art classes with her daughter and leading her Girl Scout troop. In her opinion, the family is one of the most important things in life. She looks forward to working with her clients to get them back to what is most important to each of them.
