About

My decision to build a law practice based on helping families in conflict, did not occur when I was young.  In truth, I turned to family law about six years ago.  My first career was In the Energy industry.  But as I aged I started to reevaluate my  career priorities.  I decided that my law license might be valuable in ways that I had not considered befor.   And, I was ready for a change.  At that point coincidence (if you believe in it) took over.  Opportunities happened, and I paid attention   I'm not kidding when I say that life seemed to want me working with families in crisis.  Family conflict is one of life's most difficult (and common) situations. When the conflict jeopardizes your most fundamental relationships or the well-being of your children you are enttiled to excellent, yet affordable, representation. Our legal system is not there to serve only the wealthy.  For too many the typical retainer fee has been a prohibitive barrier to full participation in our cultural inheritanc.   My fee structure is designed to work for all families and parents for whom the well-being of their children is the number one priority.By unbundling legal representation, or offering select legal services independently, I provide an option that was not available in the past. Unbundling means you only pay for the particular legal service that meets your precise need - whether it be for a customized legal document, limited scope representation, or any other legal need that involves less than full representation. Avoiding upfront retainers' fees and paying only for services needed saves money. It also allows the client to retain more control and involvement in their legal process. I am happy to offer an initial consultation without obligation. Usually we are able to find a cost structure that suits the client.

Henry went above and beyond for me, and my girls. He gave me my family back. He did what it took to get the job done and more. He knew that I was nervous and he and his staff treated me with care and understanding.

I was reluctant to use someone who I hadn't met before or heard of. Once I explained my situation and actually met Mr. Goodrich. In my honest opinion. He cares for his clients and he goes above and beyond to represent you to his fullest. I understood that he has other clients. I would get my calls returned and texts replied in a timely manner. Mr. Goodrich would inform me on hearings and court proceedings. I had been raising my grandchild for 4 years and the mother wanted to take her from me and I still have custody of her thanks to Mr. Henry Goodrich Jr. I strongly suggest using him. If I ever need another attorney. I will use his services again and again.

It seems I got myself into a little bind, and I had no one to turn to until a family friend suggested Henry Goodrich. At first I was a little skeptical because oil and gas is his preferred practice (Thats how my Family Friend knew him and what I had heard), but that did stop Henry from helping me out. He talked to me about my case in a manner that was therapeutic and real. He was very knowledgeable about my case and if he didn't know an answer to a question right off, he figured it out very quickly and let me know as soon as he did. He resides in Shreveport but my case was in Ruston LA. Ruston isn't an easy place to go to court. I am a student with a little income and a lot on my plate. School, Work, Homework, Deadlines, Projects...you get it. Henry made this easy for me. He traveled to Ruston on many occasions, kept me updated on any new evidence, made sure I fully understood what was going on taking into account the time frame which we had to complete each task, and was always ready to take the next step forward. When I called he normally answered and when he didn't answer I either got a text message or a call back in a reasonable amount of time. The DA did not want to help me out at all. He wanted me behind bars. Finally, Henry told me that honesty was the best thing and to try and prove myself to the DA. I thought that this was a little strange but Henry knew the rules and the laws were strict here and I had a be able to put my feelings and anger aside and talk. I had a lot of self examining to do but I never felt hopeless or like things were failing. Henry told me to go get letters of recommendation from friends family teachers and anyone who was a credible source that knew the true me. I didn't understand why at first, but then when DA of Ruston finally came around and listened to Henry, he no longer saw me as the everyday criminal. I realized I am not just another number on a docket, I am a person who has a long life ahead of me.
