I hired Mr. Slate to keep my license after I got a serious traffic ticket because I have a CDL. He took care of everything and I never had to go to court.
I hired Mr. Slate during contract complications with an employer. He displayed integrity and devotion to my case that makes him a rare bird these days. His legal advice, professional demeanor, and thorough understanding of the complications at hand helped navigate my family through a difficult time. We always knew he had our back and didn't feel like just another client. Trust me, you want this guy on your side.
Mr. Slate is a good example of a person in the "system" that takes his duty to the heart and does his best to protect and serve the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Slate was my legal representative in a criminal matter that was "created or exaggerated" by a 3rd party. The Commonwealth was manipulated by powers in the community into thinking that something happened that warranted my arrest and trial. Mr. Slate professionally represented (protected) my rights in this case, and effectively established that the evidence in the case, was either misunderstood, in error, or no intent was perpetrated by me. Mr. Slate's role in defending the individual or protecting the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia is a major asset to the legal system in the Commonwealth. Mr. Slate was my defense lawyer. Can you imagine the benefit to the Commonwealth (The People) if Mr. Slate was in the role as a District Attorney? In this case, it would have saved the Commonwealth $10's of thousands of dollars if Mr. Slate was the District Attorney, and would have prevented the unnecessary psychological damage to my family, and myself. In conclusion, I would state that the basics are still the most important attributes! Mr. Slate was clear, and honest, in his legal thought as to how the case would play, and what possible outcomes were expected (good or bad!). Attention to detail, attentive to his surroundings, and his professionalism makes him the best choice in legal representation in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Simply Outstanding.
This was one of the worst legal experiences I’ve ever encountered. I would have had a better outcome if I had represented myself. This man is not on your side-he doesn’t care about you or your outcome. Rude, arrogant and unconcerned about anyone but himself. Not to mention I never get answers or responses from his office. Please make a wiser choice. Do. Not. Hire. Chip Slate.
I hired him to help with a speeding ticket. I live 3 hours away. He sent me a letter expressing everything was "fine" but I never received the letter stating I had to turn in a year's driving record before a certain date and also court fees. When that time frame came and went....the court ordered me to pay court fees...provide driving record.....pay $50 late fee...AND require me to show back up 2 months later with another driving record....and additional court fees. His office states they sent the letter, but I never received it. And wouldn't it be the professional thing to do to send something like that by certified mail????? OH...and when I call and leave message.....CRICKETS..........STAY AWAY
