Born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Haroen ("Harun") Calehr is half Indonesian and half Dutch. He started practicing law right after graduating from Texas Southern University, J.D, in 2001, and then followed by graduating from Tulane Law School, LL.M., in 2002 where he received his Master in Law in Admiralty and Maritime Law. Prior to pursing his LL.M, Haroen worked for two Houston law firms, a U.S. Federal Magistrate Judge, and U.S. Bankruptcy Judge. Haroen is fluent in Dutch, German, and Indonesian.Haroen currently focuses his practice in the following areas of the law: Litigation, Personal Injury, Admiralty Law, Immigration Law, Corporate Law, Bankruptcy, and Criminal Law.Haroen is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. I would recommend Mr. Calehr to anyone looking for an attorney. I had a very complicated immigration case (came here on a K1 visa, divorced my abusive partner after partner stole my green card), pretty much worst case scenarios through and through, and against all odds, following all the advice from my lawyer I was able to get my permanent residency approved, the case was so well prepared there was no need for an interview. He also handled my divorce, and I thought it was going to be a very nasty process when in fact it was pretty painless. I am forever grateful to Mr. Calehr!!!!
