Greta Solomon may have some legal erudition, but when it comes to inter-personal skills, she is sorely deficient. I thought that I was hiring Greta, a ‘super-lawyer’ with Elder Law , Trusts and Estates expertise when I called Cohen & Wolf. I later found out that my case had been palmed off to a junior attorney familiar with Land Use & Zoning, I sent copious notes to the firm, clearly pointing out specific areas of question/suspicion as my brother Brian stole more and more funds, and more accounts went missing. I do not know if my succinct notations were ever used because we lost the case, despite the fact that substantial evidence was presented to the firm . A judge ordered that our brother take a lie detector test as well as a psychiatric examination. Did the Cohen & Wolf Attorney Peres follow up to see that these critical tests were done? One doesn’t need to go to law school to know that something like this can have a profound effect on a case. When our brother, despite the fact that any/all requirements had been met and other siblings had received theirs, would not release my inheritance to punish me for the lawsuit, I called Greta to see if she could (would) do anything. Greta, in her cold, detached manner, told me “ If I were in his position, that’s what I would do…”(withhold the funds) I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach. So much for empathy/sympathy or pro-active support from my legal representation. It was frustrating and difficult to swallow that my attorney’s firm seemed to be siding with my criminal brother, especially when he was breaking the law by not releasing my inheritance. Thousands and thousands of dollars later, the case was lost (HOW?) All in all, a frustrating and disappointing legal experience. Thank you.
