The car I backed into was illegally parked and I was unaware I had caused any damaged. When notified by the police, it was a total surprise. He had my charges reduced of a criminal hit-and-run (a criminal charge which included a rather large fine, community service and multiple point to my driver's license) reduced to a minor traffic ticket and a small fine.
