About

Mr. Davis has devoted his entire career to representing persons who have been genuinely harmed by bad acts of others. Early in his career Mr. Davis was recognized as having earned "a place among some of the most respected and feared lawyers in the state."   http://dbjlaw.net/images/stories/articles/Grant-L-Davis-Up-and-coming-lawyers-Missouri-Lawyers-Weekly-103000.pdf This early recognition has grown into an established reputation in the legal community as a gifted and tireless advocate for his clients, as well as one of the most feared and respected attorneys in his field. Mr. Davis has been repeatedly recognized and honored for his remarkable client success, including his recognition as the recipient of the prestigious and highly coveted "Tom Strong Award" in 2012, an award given to the Missouri trial attorney who best exemplifies "character, professionalism, ethics and demonstrated success in the courtroom." Due to his success not only in Missouri, but in numerous courts across the country, Mr. Davis has been recognized on a national scale, including being named as the "Lawyer of the Year" in 2012 by "Best Lawyers in America" for his representation of plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Mr. Davis was again recognized as the "Lawyer of the Year" in 2013 by "Best Lawyers in America," but this time for his representation of plaintiffs in mass tort and class action cases.  This award followed a $750 Million settlement on behalf of rice farmers. In addition, Mr. Davis has been recognized as one of the Top 10 lawyers in Missouri and Kansas by "Super Lawyers" on multiple occassions and has been honored as being named to the "Top 50 Kansas City Super Lawyers" since the inception of the Super Lawyers publication in 2005. Mr. Davis has also been repeatedly recognized by the Kansas City Business Journal as being the "Best of the Bar" for over a decade. Mr. Davis has a track of record of success at trial that goes unmatched.  A snapshot of this remarkable success at trial includes a $2.2 Billion verdict for plaintiffs harmed by a pharmacist who diluted their chemotherapy drugs (Hayes v. Courtney, et al.), a verdict in excess of $160 Million for a client injured in a railroad crossing case (Alcorn v. Union Pacific & Amtrak RR), a $48 Million verdict for his representation of an ethanol plant that suffered economic damages as a result of a zoning dispute (Abengoa v. Chicago Title), a $37.5 Million settlement during jury deliberations after an 8 week trial (Kemp v. Kansas City Southern), a $30 Million verdict for a plaintiff who suffered an electrical shock injury (McCormack v. Capital Electric), and a $25 Million verdict for a plaintiff who suffered a brain injury in an automobile collision.
