Gordon R. Crawford was born in Gonzales, Louisiana on 18 October 1937. In 1965, he received his law degree, with honors, from Louisiana State University. He first began practicing law in Gonzales and maintained a branch office since that date. In 1964, he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar, and practiced before U.S District Courts for Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
