PLEASE READ I'm writing this to accurately reflect my experience with this law firm with hopes it may benefit others by ultimately seeking legal help elsewhere. Let me tell you about my very real experience. I was referred to Gil by a dear friend, who was supposed to be "like family" to Gil, because of my child custody battle. If Gil treats all of his family referrals like he and his firm have treated me, then I sincerely doubt any of his positive reviews could possibly be real and authentic. To start, I would say that he treated me and my loved ones as if he could barely tolerate that I was such a burden on his precious time and how I must be so graced that he would take my money to tell me he was too busy to really pay attention to my needs. HOW FULL OF HIMSELF, every photo of himself is that of a different angle of the one time he was in front of the media reporters for a case he was mildly involved in and, by his own admission, a case he abandoned. I cannot fathom why anyone would pay someone to treat them this way. I guess he must be doing so well he doesn't need any new business ever. To remain fair, he seemed disinterested but very knowledgeable about the local precedence and judges. However, when it came time to go to court, he chose at the last moment to send a different lawyer, not from his firm, to represent me. At least she was decent and far more comforting in her demeanor. In court he did little and simply accepted what was being done. If you do find yourself working with him, be sure not to ask any questions as it offends him in his arrogance that a lesser person doesn't know the legal system. Apparently, and according to those who know him, it is best just to blindly trust in what he does without knowing the why or what you, the client, should be doing. His legal support/paralegal/secretary office support is as offensive to work with as he is. Truly, the majority of my few calls went unanswered or were not passed on to Gil. No matter how time sensitive my issues were, they weren't important enough to receive follow up to. That was the worst feeling to wait so anxiously for weeks to hear a simple answer. In the end, just today as I write this in fact, I received a text message from Gil, after 4 weeks of trying to reach him, that he was no longer taking my case. Apparently his secretary failed to tell me in the past 4 weeks that he is too busy to continue taking my money. That really has hurt me as I'm a week from the need for real legal help and am just now finding myself looking for new representation. That is how I would summarize working with Gil, it is far more harmful and costly to trust him then he charges in money. I write this not as slander nor to blatantly hurt his business. I am neither a crazy person nor an angered ex lover out for revenge. I am a very real, logical and forgiving person who has decided to stand up against pompous legal officials in an attempt to genuinely help innocent people who need a decent human being to listen to them and good legal representation. As Gil told me, "good luck" folks.
