Gerry Warren has an extensive career as a litigation attorney. Before his move to private practice, he worked for 17 ½ years as trial attorney for City County Insurance Services (CIS) until August 2009 when he left to start his own firm. He continues to represent Oregon Cities and Counties in all state and federal courts. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Willamette University in 1978 and Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1981 from Willamette College of Law.After law school, Gerry spent several years on active duty as an Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officer including as a prosecutor in Hanau, then West Germany for 3 years. He was also assigned to the Army’s Litigation Division at The Pentagon in Washington, DC where he defended medical malpractice claims. His last military duty assignment was his appointment by Governor John Kitzhaber as the Oregon National Guard’s State Judge Advocate in August 2001. He served in that position until October 2005.Gerry graduated with a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2003 and retired from the Army National Guard in 2005 as a Colonel with over 34 years of military service. He has successfully handled hundreds of cases in state and federal courts defending Oregon cities and counties since 1992.
