Jerry has tried many complex employment and commercial cases, and has argued numerous cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court. Some of the cases he handled have been written about in local and national legal periodicals. An author of numerous legal articles, he also lectured widely at legal education seminars to lawyers. I needed to find a new lawyer for my disability discrimination case. I have called and emailed over 20 lawyers and only heard back from five, Jerry being one of them. he was the only one to actually give me another route to take and tell me who I need to talk to first, in order to get my case going again. Others just said not a case they want because there's not enough money in it for them. Sad part, not even my lawyer I had the first time would give me this information that Jerry gave me. Jerry truly cares more about getting Justice than money. he has been in this business for 50 years and has enough money, lol. He is a absolute true caring human being, which now of days is a rarity, a rare breed. if Jerry can't help you out that in with your case he will give you the information you need or steer you in the direction that you need to go. If I ever have a issue or another problem with somebody or a company I will always go to Jerry first. He is in my contacts & will be the only lawyer that I will talk to because I know he will give me the right information. I've never been more impressed with an attorney or lawyer. Thank you so much Jerry, I will be making that phone call today and hopefully get this rolling again!
Jerry, listened and gave counsel to several critical legal areas. He charged nothing, and in fact, directed me to a no fee site. Excellent attorney, will use him on employment or any other litigation.
He has given me advise on how to proceed. As soon as I hear back from WN as to why I was terminated I will be following up with him as directed by the MN Dept. of Human Rights.
Our company sought Mr. Laurie's help in dealing with a very sensitive employment issue. We followed his direction and resolved our issue to the satisfaction of all parties concerned.
I retained Gerald Laurie twice on employment law matters involving settlement agreements with former employees. In both cases he was able to give wonderful advice on not only the law but on appropriate negotiations and settlement language. He was responsive and completed the work promptly. I would highly recommend him to others.
He did just an awful job of understanding my case. I did not feel confident ever throughout the process that I had a chance. No detail or specifics were a concern as he just wanted to get my hearing over with. I know nothing of law and yet I found myself shaking my head in embarrassment multiple times during the litigation. When I asked questions regarding the hearing, his responses were vague answers that were not helpful. I feel I would have done better on my own and I mean that.
