Gerald E. Harmon, Jr. graduated from the University of South Carolina for both his undergraduate and legal studies. He is a resident and native of Pawleys Island, SC. While attending law school, Mr. Harmon earned a CALI award for his coursework in Constitutional Issues in Public Education. He served as on the editorial board for the Journal of Law and Education and was a member of multiple volunteer organizations. He is a JAG officer with the South Carolina Air National Guard and a licensed private pilot. Mr. Harmon resides in Pawleys Island with his wife and two sons and is currently on the Board of Directors for Georgetown County Habitat for Humanity.In the South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG), Captain Gerald E. Harmon, Jr. serves as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the 169th Fighter Wing. Captain Harmon has served in this capacity since May 2008. Prior to assuming this role, Captain Harmon served as an Intelligence Analyst for the 169 Operations Support Flight, a position he held starting in May of 2000.Captain Harmon enlisted in the SCANG in 2000 after graduating from the University of South Carolina. Captain Harmon served for 8 years as an Intelligence Analyst with the 169 OSF and deployed to Southwest Asia in January 2002 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In January of 2008, Captain Harmon earned a direct appointment commission to the JAG office with the SCANG
