I hired Geoff because of our initial interaction. He sounded like he cared and really wanted to help. Once retained for a child custody case we had multiple conversations and meetings. I ALWAYS had to remind him about what we talked about. He wouldn't e-mail me for days and then claim he did. This is my life I didn't have time to play games with him. Nevertheless I continued paying him and hoping for the better. He made me feel like I had a case, I knew I had a case just bad representation. The trail date came and once I got there with my sister we were told that the judge had made up his mind. I don't understand to this day where my right to a fair trial went. I guess out the window with Geoff. I paid him loads of money for nothing but empty promises! I lost time with my son and I am in a terrible situation because of it. You could try hiring his dad who seems to be a force to be reckoned with and only hold a position for junior because of family ties. I hope he really takes the time to make some adjustments on how he handles his clients.
Are you looking for a lawyer who will listen to you, support you, and advise you to the best of their ability while keeping your wants and needs in mind? Then Geoff Goss is NOT the lawyer for you. After going through a very traumatic end to my marriage, I was desperate to find a lawyer who could advise me and navigate me through the very difficult process of getting a divorce. I had many questions and concerns, most of which went unanswered and most of which he never covered in the final proceedings anyway. Often times when speaking with Geoff, I would have to remind him of things (details, questions, concerns, etc.) which would most likely be forgotten by the following time we talked. Not to mention, when we had the final meeting with both mine and my exes lawyers, Geoff advised me to be 15 minutes early so we could go over everything prior to the meeting and then he himself did not show up until the meeting was scheduled to start (with a Starbucks coffee in hand). Obviously going into this situation, I did not know what I was doing or what to expect and ultimately wanted someone who could counsel me on realistic goals while keeping my best interest in mind. I did not feel like I got any support from Geoff; at one point, I even told him I wanted to discontinue his services so I could try to find a better lawyer (even though I would be out the money I had already paid for his services) and he urged me to stay with him and promised that he would do better moving forward (obviously that wasn't the case). Geoff did not help me to understand what I was entitled to in the divorce (which I did not get, thanks to him) and was not supportive throughout the process. I would absolutely never recommend Geoff Goss to anyone. Period.
