 I have a long history as an attorney, having practiced in three jurisdictions, prior to Minnesota. I now focus in the area of wills, estate planning and trusts. My mission is to work with people and families of all identity and definition, to see that they are secure in establishing a plan that will protect and provide for the people who mean the most to them. I will even help them provide for their beloved pets--also vital members of the family.Due to my focus on my own family, I understand how important planning considerations are--and how hard it can be to address these concerns. Every individual and family should have, at the minimum, wills, healthcare directives, and durable powers of attorney in place. There also may be the need to set up standby custodian designations, to allow for the immediate care of the child(ren) in the event parents are not available to do so, due to absence or incapacity. Some people are interested in setting up trusts for the individual/family assets to provide for a minor or disabled child or a spouse,  protect one's privacy, and avoid burdensome probate, to name a few considerations.  I can help walk you through the vaious options and help you decide what you might prefer.
