Jeffrey A. Jaketic is an associate attorney at Hinman, Howard & Kattell, and a member of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation and Litigation practice groups.  Mr. Jaketic regularly handles matters involving Workers’ Compensation Law, including the representation of injured workers, businesses and insurance carriers. Mr. Jaketic’s practice also involves commercial litigation, mediation, arbitration, and contract dispute resolution.Mr. Jaketic is also actively involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier.  He also serves on the Ross Park Zoo Board of Directors.Prior to joining Hinman, Howard & Kattell, Mr. Jaketic practiced insurance litigation and litigated cases on behalf of municipal entities and officials in state and federal courts based on common law torts, alleged civil rights violations under the Federal and New Jersey Civil Rights Acts, and employment law claims under federal and state employment discrimination statutes.Mr. Jaketic attended the Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey, where he served as a Law Guardian in the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic and represented minors in family court and Supplemental Security Income administrative hearings. Mr. Jaketic also served as a judicial extern in the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey for the Honorable Kathryn C. Ferguson.Before law school, Mr. Jaketic attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a dual degree in business administration and political science.
