This is the lawyer that gives lawyers a bad name. He will work to get you on his case load, then not return your phone calls. He only cares about money. When your hurt from an injury and try to talk with him about getting what you need, he will try and distract you by bringing up sports or politics. I had to threaten too report him to the bar just to get a letter to the doctors! And still he only did the bare minimum. The only time he ever called me after I signed his contract was to try and convince me to take a settlement. If you are hurt from an injury on the job, your nightmare is just beginning. Don't let seaman law firm make it worse. Go somewhere else!
Attorney Seaman doesn't maintain a ledger of benefits received for each client. If the client doesn't maintain a ledger for themselves they may or may not receive what they are entitled too. In my case I maintained a personal ledger which revealed several missing weeks of benefits as well as several thousand dollars of prescriptions paid by me and not reimbursed. I tried for several years to have him get these benefits for me. In the end he told me "it wasn't worth his time". He wouldn't go forward even when I produced letters from the insurer that the benefits I sought were due me and had not been paid. We parted company, I went Pro se'. The Work Comp Judge ordered Attorney Seaman to provide me with copies of everything in my file. I found that Attorney Seaman and the Insurer told untruths to the Judge as to why I hadn't received benefits in a timely manner which lead to non-consecutive weeks of benefits issued, which lead to weeks of benefits not paid. In addition...Attorney Seaman either lied to the Judge or was indifferent to me when he assured the Judge that I was satisfied with the payments. Both Attorney Seaman and the Insurer failed to comply with the Judicial Order when he assured the Judge that I was satisfied with the payments received. He also let the insurer change the level of injury accepted by the Insurer, myself and the WC Court, five months after the claim was accepted by all parties and filed with WC Court. I am seeking an attorney 11 years later to settle this mess. That's why I'll give my name. .
