About
Beatriz was born in 1979 in Hialeah, Florida, and graduated from Monsignor Edward Pace High School in 1997. She received a full scholarship at Barry University in Miami for her four-year degree.She obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology from Barry University in 2000. She then completed her education by attending St. Thomas University, School of Law. She graduated in December of 2002 and sat for the bar exam in February of 2003. She was admitted before the Florida Supreme Court in April of 2003 and maintains her membership in good standing to date in Florida.Beatriz is a first-generation Cuban American and as such has a great connection with the immigrant community. She understands the plight of the immigrant, the struggles they must face, and the dreams of a better future that are undoubtedly in the minds of her clients.She believes empathy and compassion are key to working in this field. She also believes that one can only be truly successful if they place customer service to clients as their top priority. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and has been helping the immigrant population since 2001.She first started her advocacy for immigrants in the Human Rights Institute while she was obtaining her J.D. at St. Thomas University School of Law. After graduating and being admitted to the bar, she continued her passion of assisting individuals fulfilling the American dream.She has handled numerous cases ranging from family-based adjustment of status, special legislation applications such as Cuban Adjustments, U visas, consular processing, waivers, and many more. She comes from a high-volume background so she is a true multitasker.Beatriz is married to Nicholas Godoy since 2004. She has two children, Nicholas and Mikayla, who have captured her heart in full. She strives to be a great wife and mother and always puts family first. She lives in Homestead, Florida, and enjoys reading, traveling, and photography as past times.
