I have used the services of Mr. Ivan on multiple occasions for business matters. He is incredibly wise, and always gives me sound advice. All outcomes have been favorable with his help and guidance. I have referred him to colleagues and friends!
I retained Florin Ivan as my attorney to assist me with an adversarial real estate matter at the end of 2015. While I was familiar with Arizona statutes regarding responsibilities of landlords and tenants, Florin was able to quickly grasp the essence of the situation, provide practical counsel and assuring guidance, and help me to strip the emotion out of the highly charged issue. Florin was always available to me -- at night and on weekends -- and tireless in his willingness to let me "vent", while listening for the salient usable points that he was then masterfully able to incorporate into simple, direct, and persuasive communications that quickly moved this matter to a satisfactory resolution. I highly recommend Florin to anyone who wants a legal advocate who conducts himself as a gentleman, knows the law, and is able and willing to go the distance to bring your case to positive resolution. Florin conducted himself as a consummate professional during every interaction I had with him -- listening intently, questioning to understand, providing context and cogent explanation of the law, and offering proactive suggestions for how to proceed. While nobody I know enjoys litigation, when it becomes necessary, Florin is one attorney who makes the experience as civilized, productive, and positive as possible. I hope that I won't need Mr. Ivan's services in the future, but if I do, I'll not hesitate to call him.
Florin has an outstanding work ethic. He handled every aspect of my case with integrity, perseverance, and professionalism. Family law can be an emotional rollercoaster for those involved, however, Florin managed to relieve the stress of the situation by helping me to stay focused on the legal rather than the emotional aspects. He treated all parties with courtesy and professionalism while staying focused on the objective. I trusted Florin to represent my interests and would do so again, should the need arise.
I requested a consult with this attorney and got a 5 minute phone call with the legal assistant who forwarded my paragraph explaining my issue. Then without an initial consult or any information about what the firm can do for me in my case tried to send me a retainer agreement and requested $1,000 deposit and wanted me to ageee to pay $200/hr after my legal insurance to supposedly represent me but who knows for what since it wasn’t even explained what they would be representing me for.
*****Edit after reading Ivan's response***** I am afraid that Ivan is trying to hide the fact. ****The case was already over the statute of limitations before the year of filing, judging from the bill of complaint edited by Ivan**** The case was already invalid but Ivan was not aware of it. The starting point of the limitations was 2015, according to the claim edited by Ivan, and the last chance for filing was 2017. Filing was after 2017. One lawyer I talked with after Ivan pointed it out. The lawyer after Ivan was once considering taking over the case, and the status would have been recoverable after "dismissal" Ivan claim here if Ivan's interpretation about the starting point had been correct. See the Arizona Civil Code...if the refiling after dismissal is within the statute of limitations, the refiling can make the same claim valid again. However, the professional lawyer (after Ivan) pointed out that the statute of limitations was over in 2017, so there was no way to refile after 2017. So I did not refile it. If the starting point had been later than 2015, as Ivan interpreted, I could have refiled it because it was within 2 years from the starting point by Ivan's interpretation. Ivan says that he left the case for the reason other than the merit of the case, but it would mean that he was not aware of the statute limitations until I pointed it out after a consultation with another lawyer. Bottom line: Ivan mistook the starting point of the statute of limitations, and I paid the "legal fees" in vain. And the case would have been dismissed sooner or later regardless of "the former client's failure to prosecute" which Ivan claims, due to the statute of limitations issue. Ivan is using "client's failure" to hide his mistakes. He blocked my email account after giving quibbles against me, with no legal explanation. No refund so far. ***Extra info about why Ivan withdrew...He was pointed out with his fatal mistakes, and he got mad and then withdrew. Ivan says as if his withdrawal was approved as "a good cause" by the court, but usually, motion to withdraw is approved with no issue if clients do not file an objection, and lawyers do not have to explain the reason. ***More...according to the court order, the reason of dismissal is largely on the dormancy of the case during Ivan was representing, and Plaintiff's documentation format issue was just the last stone on the mountain of rocks.
