About
Felicia came to Owings, Wilson & Coleman in 2015 with a wealth of legal background and experience. Felicia began her legal career as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Memphis. She enjoyed the challenges that came with being part of a large municipal legal team. She both defended the city and advised the multiple departments and boards for the city. She advised the Emergency Management Agency worked with Finance, Pension, Engineering, and Alcohol Commissions, as well as Public Works, Police, and Fire Departments. Felicia was also instrumental in the establishment and implementation of a new tax collection system for the City of Memphis. After being blessed with a set of twins Felicia came back to her roots here in Knoxville. She opened a creditor’s bankruptcy office here in Knoxville then worked with Bond, Botes & Lawson on the debtor bankruptcy side of the law. Upon a drastic redrafting of the bankruptcy law Felicia spent several years doing Real Estate Law. Although successful, her passion lay elsewhere. Her heart had always been drawn to seniors and the special issues they face, and with the burgeoning population of baby boomers she saw a legal need for service in that age group. So, in 2010 she began to focus entirely on elder law. As that was an emerging service area with our clientele Felicia was a natural fit.Since Felicia has been with our firm, she has truly found her place. She concentrates her practice in probate matters, estate planning, elder law, conservatorships and business transitions. Felicia is proud to be a partner in a law firm with an excellent reputation that works tirelessly to be of benefit to the Knoxville community.
