He was the best lawyer someone could ever hope for in a criminal case. Gilligan from Gilligan’s Island once paid his fee on a murder case which Erwin won even though the client was guilty.
I hired Erwin Davis. He is very smart, proactive and legally proficient. He understands human nature very well and uses that to win court cases. He is not afraid to take your case to trial due to which most of the prosecutors chicken out and dismiss your case.
Mr Davis actually became my attorney when the attorney I hired for my divorce originally took a new position and passed my case to him. They say things happen for a reason. I feel I couldn't have been luckier. Mr. Davis is extremely knowledgeable, and knows the court systems well. He is very professional, but also caring and genuine. He is thorough and listens Intentently. I have had to seek legal help from Mr. Davis time after time, and am always greeted with friendship and smiles. I couldn't be more satisfied to find someone I know I can always count on and trust .
In Arkansas it is very difficult for a Father to get custody of his children in a custody battle, given the current legal landscape in which the Courts tend to assume that the Mother is always the more suitable parent. Despite this, Mr. Davis was able to help me achieve that goal and get my child into a safe environment. I know that Mr. Davis prefers criminal defense cases, and understand that he is exceptional in his main area of practice. However, I am living proof that he is also very knowledgeable and effective in civil and domestic situations as well. Thanks Mr. Davis, I don't know where I'd be if it hadn't been for you help! I wanted to edit my previous review to return to favor for all of Mr. Davis' hard work. I understand that many people Mr. Davis has helped over the years don’t want to post reviews online about their situation because they value their own privacy and people would prefer not to publicly discuss criminal charges they have faced. Most people are glad he has helped them put their legal troubles behind them, and just want to move on with their lives. Courtney’s comment here is correct, Erwin doesn’t not pay for any advertising or pressure clients to leave reviews like some lawyers do. That being the case, I just wanted to post some information here. From a very quick search through records I see that he has outright won (acquitted of all charges) 90% of his criminal trials in 2017. Of course, not all cases go to trial. A great many felony charges are dropped before going to trial because of his reputation as a great trial attorney. They'd rather make a good deal than put in all the work to prepare for trial against Mr. Davis. I have found that in the last five years he, as an individual, not a part of a large firm, has had over 150 felony charges dismissed or acquitted at or before trial. Furthermore, he has gotten many dismissals of trumped up Domestic Battery charges as well as repeatedly getting parole/probation revocation charges dismissed. I have no doubt that a more in-depth search would show that these numbers are even higher.

My husband had 5 felonies (a probation revokation, 2 possession with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession drugs and firearm, & possession of drug paraphernalia) and because of these charges was facing 20 years with 5 suspended! The prosecutor would not budge! Erwin did one hell of a job getting these charges DISMISSED!!!!! Couldn't have found a better attorney! I would recommend this man to ANYONE!!
The laws of our great State are designed to protect us. However, as is all too often the case, those laws are misappropriated to be used against the very people they were established to safeguard. In such times as these, we must be represented by a true champion of the people. Erwin Davis is that man. His compassion and experience is unparalleled, and his presence in that courtroom commands the acclaim and respect that any defendant must absolutely have when fighting for their life and reputation. Erwin is one of the finest professionals I have ever encountered, and I consider myself truly fortunate to have found him among the many other attorneys in Northwest Arkansas.
Without question ... Erwin L. Davis is "the very best criminal defense trial attorney in Arkansas" and specifically why I retained him in August of 2010 to represent me on a totally fabricated money-laundering case by the IRS in federal court for the Western District of Arkansas - Fayetteville Division, Case No. 10-cr-50067, styled as UNITED STATES OF AMERICA vs. JAMES B. MITCHELL, ET AL. After the original indictment was filed on July 21, 2010 (Doc. 1), Attorney Davis entered as my retained counsel on August 25, 2010 (Doc. 21), a superseding indictment was filed on September 15, 2010 (Doc. 29), Attorney Davis filed his motion to withdraw on September 30, 2010 (Doc. 43), which the court granted on October 13, 2010 (Text Only Order). Unfortunately (for me) the federal prosecutors and IRS also knew Erwin Davis was "the very best federal criminal trial attorney in Arkansas" and because they literally feared me going to trial with Attorney Davis at my side as my chosen attorney (who I have no doubts would have blown holes in the feds' false charges and prevailed for me in trial) the feds also fabricated a totally false illusory conflict of interest to get Attorney Davis off my case which succeeded and with disastrous results for me due to gross ineffective assistance of counsel by my substitute attorney who replaced Attorney Davis just a month after I had retained him. For proof of this, read "the record" on case No 10-cr-50067 in the Western District of Arkansas which can be viewed on PACER (the federal court system's electronic file on civil and criminal cases). On September 24, 2010 at the superseding indictment arraignment of which the transcript is now filed (Doc. 113, pp 12-17), Attorney Davis advised the court of the falsely alleged conflict of interest referring to a letter he received from the prosecutors dated September 17, 2010 of which a copy is now filed (Doc. 174-1). For further proof of this falsely alleged conflict of interest that the feds "manufactured" in desperation to get Attorney Davis removed as my defense attorney, read my amended habeas corpus memorandum brief in support of 28 U.S.C., Section 2255 (for relief on my illegal federal conviction) filed on November 27, 2012 (Doc. 139, pp 4, 13-14) in Claim 2 for interference of counsel and also my final reply to the feds' answer filed on September 19, 2014 (Doc. 206, pp 9-16) for prosecutorial misconduct and outrageous government conduct that violated my sacred Sixth Amendment Constitutional rights.
