Had a workers comp claim in march of 2014 after we found out I needed surgery to repair a bicept tendon we decided to get an attorney just in case insurance company tried to screw us over. Initial visit was good he informed us of our rights. I had surgery started physical therapy everything good. He informed us he wanted to stay under the radar for the time being I said ok. Well 6 months go by everything progressing good got a job back at previous employer and got off workers comp benefits. In October he sends a letter stating we have a year to settle do we want to..I told him not at moment would like to see how injury plays out while working so I dont lose medical benefits. Well today January 2015 I call workers comp to go back to doctor because bicept tendon ruptured again because of daily work (machinist cutting 1000lb parts) workers comp says they closed my medical file..suppose to have medical for life and a year to settle? So decide to call my attorney today who informs me they no longet represent me because I didnt want to settle when they wanted..so pretty much tells you he signed on with me because he knew I needed surgery and knew ill probably get a large settlement. He has never once called to check how I was doing he would just ask if I heard anything from workers comp..im the one who went around getting medical records and what not.I would not recommend.
