He attended Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina, where he played NCAA DII lacrosse and graduated summa-cum-lade. While there, Dillon studied Criminal Justice and Psychology. Afterward, he attended Elon University School of Law in Greensboro.At Elon Law, Dillon was an active member of the Moot Court Board and competed in the Emory Law CRAL Moot Court Competition. He also worked with the Innocence Project, Lawyer on the Line, and received recognition for his Pro Bono service.Dillon coached while he was in law school as a way to give back to his community.
