Eric has represented our young adult son who suffers from severe mental illness in a complex criminal case for the past several years. He has done so with passion to achieve the best possible outcome, patience in dealing with our legally incompetent son, and compassion for our heartbroken family. As a lawyer myself, I appreciate Eric’s in-depth knowledge of the law and his vast trial experience. He has become our trusted guide through a scary and often illogical criminal justice system, providing pragmatic legal advice at every turn. He has repeatedly gone the extra mile to pursue hope in a seemingly hopeless situation. Throughout the court proceedings, it is also clear to us that Eric is well-respected by his colleagues and the court – a testament to his integrity and ability to build strong working relationships, even with adversaries. He has been transparent, efficient, and responsible in his time management and billing practices and we have never once been surprised. We whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone in need of legal assistance in criminal matters.
Was a client for Eric Zale. I had a positive experience with Eric as he is a sensible, understanding, extremely hard-working, meticulous, and professional attorney who has a positive outlook on your case. He has a very calm personality which allows you to trust that your case is in the best possible hands.
OMG, I see Janene McCabe endorsed Eric. I had to replace Eric with Ms. McCabe less than 24 hours prior to a hearing because he abandoned me. She knows he abandoned me and now endorses him? There is a rule, and ethical responsibility that if one attorney knows another has behaved unethically they have a RESPONSIBILITY to report them, not endorse them on AVVO. I guess it says more about the integrity of these two attorneys than anything. This guy had a very simple case and he could have messed it up more. He lied to his client. Withheld important information from his client. Didn't seem to know basic law. He offered to accept service for something he can't accept service for. Had the client running around to scan a document that was already in the courts system, already visible to him. He seems to make a habit of sending other attorneys to court in his place WITHOUT discussing this with the client. He said "we're going to get you a good defense" then disappeared. The reviews on AVVO are written by colleges or friends, not clients. Real people tend to be more specific, these reviews are general. I wonder if attorneys like this even care how much damage they cause. The outcome would have been completely different if he'd even attempted to do his job. Past public defender. Public defenders plea bargain, that is about it. "Defender" is kind of a misnomer.
