Emily handled my divorce and I have referred several clients to her who were also very pleased with the service she provided. She was very thourough and I received everything I wanted in my divorce settlement. I never had a problem with getting in touch with her or someone else in the office when I had a question. I highly recommend using as your lawyer.
During this difficult time in my life Emily made the process so much easier. I was always able to rely on her and know I was getting the best representation. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Charleston area!
I was able to obtain Emily on short notice for a Rule To Show Case from my ex-husband. I sent info denoucing my ex's bogus claims but Emily insisted on settling. An agreement was made before the hearing which I could not attend due to pregnancy travel limitations. But my ex's lawyer changed things in court and Emily just agreed. My ex's lawyer wrote up the RTS order the judge signed. Emily did not review prior and I had no protection in the order. She handled my case but no assertiveness was present. I would recommend her if you need someone quickly to handle a small case. I would not recommend her for a case that is of high importance or priority to you. I wish I was able to represent myself at that time and not waste thousands on mediocre services.
This attorney is currently filing court paperwork to take my premature grandchild away from my daughter. Never mind that my daughter had an emergent C Section due to Covid and is currently on a vent at MUSC unable to speak for herself. Her child is still in the NICU. Of course this is the perfect time to file for custody. Dirtbag Attorney. Find another!
Emily has two accounts listed on www.avvo.com, the other account had a bad review, but I didn't listen and I had the same bad experience . Emily dropped the ball when it came time to negotiate my assets. I was bill several hours talking about my assets and my ex wife's assets. When the final agreement came none of my assets were not included. When I asked about it she said it was too late, I fired soon after. She would take days to get back to me, my ex would tell me her lawyer couldn't get in touch with Emily. She made things so difficult, personally I felt she must have had too many clients or is just completely incompetent. Be aware if you use her, you most likely are going to be frustrated with your decision. After I fired her it took nearly two months to get my refund and no one would ever contact me by phone or email when I left messages.
