I concentrate my practice on the corporate, transactional and tax needs of the firm’s clients. I represent a broad spectrum of non-profit and public entities, including health and human service providers, charter schools and other educational institutions, and financial institutions which lend to non-profits and public entities.My advice to non-profit clients addresses the concerns of both newly-formed and well-established entities. It includes creating appropriate organizational structures for clients, and advising them on tax planning and tax exemption compliance. I negotiate and implement joint ventures and other corporate affiliations, and assist clients with their employment and executive compensation arrangements. I also  represent both borrowers and lenders in conventional, tax credit and tax exempt bond financing transactions.I write and lecture on nonprofit governance, charter and public school regulations, tax exemption compliance and New Markets Tax Credit financings.
