About
Elizabeth Guilbert Perrow is a trial lawyer who practices primarily in the area of medical malpractice defense. Elizabeth has extensive experience representing healthcare providers and has successfully defended physicians, nurses and hospitals. She is also trained in Collaborative Process, a unique way to resolve divorces. Elizabeth has tried jury cases in circuit courts and participated in numerous mediations. She was recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly for receiving one of the largest defense verdicts in 2007 and 2011 and receiving two “million-dollar med-mal defense verdicts” in 2010 and 2012. She has lectured extensively on risk management issues to various professional groups in Virginia and has authored a chapter of Virginia CLE Medical Malpractice Law in Virginia. Elizabeth is the new president of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (VADA) – the second-youngest president and only the second woman to lead the statewide bar association for defense attorneys. Perrow also is the third Woods Rogers attorney to serve as president of the organization. She’s been named in Super Lawyers and in Best Lawyers in America in personal injury defense/medical malpractice and medical malpractice law. Elizabeth graduated from Lynchburg College cum laude and earned her law degree at Oklahoma City University School of Law, summa cum laude, where she received the award for Outstanding Woman Graduate in her class. She received the Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the Roanoke Bar Association in 2008 and was twice named Boss of the Year by the Roanoke Valley Legal Secretaries Association (RVLSA).
