I switched my GC case to Liz from another lawyer in 2012 and that was probably the best decision I took in my 8 years of GC processing! Liz was transparent, cared about making progress, very proactive in follow ups and got the job done. She is the only lawyer I know who will follow up with USCIS on your case without you even asking... I got my GC this month! Thanks Liz..
Elizabeth is honest, caring, extremely patient when explaining complex details of immigration law, and manages expectations appropriately. She never promised me anything she wasn't sure she could deliver and was always available to answer questions or give advice.
I have been working with Liz (Elizabeth) for almost 7 years and she is an exceptional lawyer. Liz is personable, easy to work with, completely transparent, and gets the job done. I have referred several people to her and they all have the same positive experience.
Elizabeth was very friendly and nice to talk to, but her experience really disappointed my expectation. I interviewed 5 immigration lawyers before finally deciding on one to apply for an O-1 visa. Among the 5, Elizabeth's firm charged the most for initial consultation ($250), which gave me an expectation that they must be very experienced with O-1. But after meeting with her, I realized that she was actually the second least experienced one among the 5 I interviewed. She was not sure if she should take my case so she had to consult with her colleague halfway during our consultation. She took the USCIS O-1 criteria documents word by word and said she was not sure if I qualified. She discouraged me to apply and suggested I should come back to her in 6 months. Our conversation was pleasant, she sounded professional and she even looked up documents on her computer for a small question I asked. But thinking back about my experience with her, these were all signs of inexperience. The lawyer I picked at the end gave me a lot more insights on O-1 application, was confident on my case, and answered my small question straight from her experience without the need of looking up anything, because she has done so many more similar cases. My application went very smooth, it was approved in 10 days. After that, I told many of my friends who were seeking O-1: don't be discouraged by one lawyer who said you don't qualify, they said that because they have not dealt with any complex cases. Consult with multiple and use your best judgement.
This New World barrister promised the world and delivered some expensive paperwork. Once it became clear she had little interest in handling my case and my source of funds dried up, she was gone. Papers were signed and verbal agreements were provided.
