After I came away from a horrid IRS tax audit, with post-divorce issues to boot, I contacted Mr. Sodowsky who helped navigate me through a payment plan and even got me some abatements from the IRS. He answered each of my questions patiently and always had time to speak with me in person when I requested it. I would not hesitate to recommend him if one has had an IRS audit and now needs to address tax debt.
I met with Elden for an initial consultation. I would have hired him if more action was necessary. His fees were reasonable. With most lawyers you would have expected them to sell you a story that there was more to do regarding your issues. He gave me great advice about what I should not do and what to do if several scenarios occur. He is honest and genuine. If you want a lawyer who is only concerned about the client and not making more money, he is the one to work for you.
Elden worked with me and my wife over several years to untangle a really complex IRS issue. With his guidance we were able to finally get out from under that dark cloud and move forward again. Definitely on a 1-10 scale he is a 15!
I set up a Solo 401K plan for my small business in August with one set of plans for leveraging the Mega-backdoor Roth IRA. By the time I established the custodial accounts for the plan in late November, the future availability of after-tax conversions to Roth had gotten bleak and reducing my AGI had been a primary goal. Suddenly I had an enormous number of options to evaluate and lots of detailed "how to" questions. I was overwhelmed. Simply determining what type of expert to consult and then screening candidates to find the right one to solve my problem on my schedule was extremely time consuming. Mr. Sodowsky came up in my searches. In the process of doing due-diligence on him, I found a video of him explaining what to expect when dealing with his firm. I liked what he said. I called his office to make an appointment. His assistant set up the appointment for as soon as I could make it. She asked me to upload background information and questions that I would like to have answered to their secure web site. I spent several hours detailing the questions that I needed answers to. On the morning before our meeting, I received a call from him. He said that the questions I had written for him had tax implications, they were better suited for a CPA or financial adviser to address. I agreed with him but noted that, since I had written them, I realized that I needed higher level advice than the details that I had been focused on. I asked that we keep our appointment for later but suggested that we discuss what I should be doing to keep me from having IRS troubles while running my business. I was also incredibly impressed that any lawyer would suggest that someone else could solve my problems better than he could. Mr. Sodowsky agreed to revise the meeting agenda to focus on business start-up advising and counseling, He is even better in person than on the phone or in video. His engineering background gave us common background to interact. The initial meeting was very helpful and enlightening. I have made several changes to my business processes and record keeping as a result. I expect to hold periodic meetings with him in the future for continued advice.
I was very pleased with the service that I got from Mr. Sodowsky and his staff. He was very knowledgeable and sincerely interested in help me. He took the trouble to research legal statutes and other matters pertaining to my case prior to our consultation. His staff was courteous and professional. I couldn't ask for a better experience with an attorney.
I had a bad tax debt situation with IRS more than 10 years. I came to Mr. Sodowsky office for help and the office did very good, professional work to help me to settle my debt with IRS. My debt is about $383K was settle for less than $3K. Huge saving for me. I am so happy that now I can reclaim my life after so many years with my IRS problem. The lawyers and staffs is very thorough, and helpful through my case.
I was struggling with how to address some tax issues, and was delayed submitting a return to the IRS for 2 years. I contacted the Sodowsky firm, and they scheduled a meeting with my quickly, were incredibly professional and helpful, and I am not on my way to digging myself out of something that has been hanging over my head!
My husband & I were audited by the IRS for both the 2015 & 2016 tax years. They were claiming we owed upwards of $150K. We were just informed the IRS owes us apx. $5K. This exceeded all of our expectations! I highly recommend him and his firm.
Sodowsky Law Firm was very helpful. I had a number of questions and felt like they answered them. I walked away well informed and ready to move forward. I would recommend them if you have tax issues.
Elden was highly recommended by a family member who's company used Elden's law firm. I needed guidance on personal and business tax related issues. Elden provided me the assistance I needed and directed me to a professional accounting firm he recommended. I am happy with his recommendation and very much appreciate his honesty and integrity and guidance.
