When I made the determination to retain a lawyer for my divorce, I paid the money for three separate consultations to ensure I would get the best legal representation possible. Save yourself the money and hire Paula from the beginning. When I read the very first letter from Paula to the opposing counsel, I knew immediately that I made the right decision. Between that one single letter and the threat of the exhibits Paula intended to use, the opposing counsel agreed to settle the case without going to trial. I was even surprised to receive money back. Paula did a fantastic job.

Paula instantly made me feel safe and taken care of when I became her client. She and Julie are highly organized and knowledgeable about my case. Paula was prepared for anything the opposing side threw at us, reacted professionally and timely, and remained in complete control of the case. I never felt like the opposing attorney took control of my case. Paula knew exactly how to keep my kids safe, and made sure to provide proper evidence to the judge to do just that. She also provided all my options to me and explained them (and the possible consequences) to me when I had any questions. She was my voice of reason many times, which was so reassuring to me. I am very grateful to have Paula as my attorney. My case is now complete, and I am so peacefully relieved. She and her team did an amazing job.

Hiring an attorney who is going to play, what I would say is the most important part in protecting your parental rights and the best interest of your children can be a huge challenge. To make a long story shorter, I had met with three other attorneys and initially hired a firm who had a great marketing campaign and a good pitch man on site, I spent over $1800.00 and all that I got in return was aggravated, before I parted ways with them. I spent a lot of time on line looking at reviews and reading bio's and talking to a few attorneys over the phone. I can't say exactly what it was that made me decide to go and meet with Paula, but I can tell you that it was the best decision I could have made. I walked into the office and Julie, Paula's assistant (also a rock star) handed me a questionnaire, I filled it out and waited about 15 minutes and then was walked back to Paula's office. She asked me to tell my story, eventually stopping me, because I rambler and it would have cost me a lot of money, b the time I ran out of words. I mentioned the other attorneys that I had met with... They all told me that my ex wife had my boys the majority of the time, but Paula said "You have your boys 52% of the time, I disagreed and told her she was wrong, she slid a printout across the table and said "Is this your schedule?" I told her it was, she said "Then you have your boys 52% of the time. I hired Paula, because she cut to the chase, she didn't waste my time and didn't allow me to waste my time, by rambling on about things that weren't relevant to my case. I left her office and before I made it back to my house, she had already contacted my sons private school, to verify what I pay for their school and informed me that I shouldn't be paying any child support. I had been paying for 9 years. The first firm I hired had figured it at $519.00 per month. Also, after having my boys pretty much every Thursday through Sunday for 8 years, the judge would have set temporary custody for every other weekend, but Paula stood up and said "You can't do that your honor" and we were able to maintain a better schedule. Todays date is August 21st, 2020, I hired Paula in February of this year. We went to trial August 19-20 and I couldn't have been more pleased. She was prepared and to say she presented a very organized case, would be an understatement. I knew that she and her assistant Julie had worked really hard, but I was really in awe of what had culminated from their efforts. Paula was very aggressive in her presentation and didn't let the apposing counsel get away with anything. We won't know the outcome of the trial until the judge reviews the case, but I can't imagine anything, but success, based on Paula's performance, both in the court room and before. I would highly recommend hiring Paula for any family law issues.

I hired Paula Langworthy to represent me in my divorce, starting in spring 2018 and finishing in spring 2019. If I were starting the process again, I would hire Paula without hesitation. Here are the reasons for this recommendation. One, she efficiently handled the divorce process by staying on top of deadlines, following up quickly with the opposite attorney, and communicating with me. I always knew what was happening and never felt her actions (or lack of action) delayed the process. Second, I thought the billing was appropriate and fair. Paula's very efficient in her work, and I never felt once that any billing was unnecessary. There's a certain amount of attorney work in any divorce, but what I paid was fair and kept to a minimum. Third, I always knew Paula held my best interest at the forefront when dealing with my ex-spouse's attorney and never felt she was just trying to get it done to be done without being thorough. She was firm but fair in her dealings with the other attorney, and when she and I negotiated on certain issues with my ex-spouse's attorney, she always gave me the positive and negatives as well as how she thought the courts might handle it if we went to trial. This helped immensely as I made many difficult decisions.
