About
Since 1985, I have devoted my practice to defending life and liberty, and the Constitutional rights of my clients. The government has far more resources than you. They have prosecutors, police, and millions of dollars in budget. Public perception of persons charged with crimes also works against you. You need an advocate who is experienced and willing to do battle to protect your rights. I walk the walk. I have tried over 100 cases to juries in my career, and continue to take it to the box on a regular basis. I have earned the respect of judges, prosecutors and other lawyers across Utah for my zealous advocacy and hard work for each of my clients over 30 years of law practice. But don't expect flowers and puppies when you talk to me. I won't sugar-coat it, I won't give you false promises or blow smoke just to get you to sign a contract with me. I also won't give you false scare-tactic, hard-sell garbage either. You get personal attention from me, your lawyer, and not a run-around with "assistants" or paralegals. I personally return all calls and emails within 24 hours, usually faster, unless I'm in a trial. Experience. Integrity. Hard work. That's why my clients get better outcomes.

Edward Flint was not only very good at responding to any questions before and after the case but also was a very successful attorney to have. I would definitely recommend Ed for any case after how well he helped me in my tough situation.
I hired Edward Flint for my boyfriend who had a pending charge from almost 4 years ago in St George . We now live in Idaho . We were on our way home from Nevada and got pulled over in Utah . My boyfriend was arrested and held in Brigham city for Days . I contacted Edward Flint and he had my boyfriend on a transport bus to Purgatort the next day . My boyfriend was i front of the judge 2 days later and released that same day . Although the price to hire him was more than reasonable it still was a financial burden for me . Attorney Flint was very kind and understanding and worked with me on my remaining balance . I will never again use any other attorney accept Flint if ever the need arises again . I am in tears as I write this review because of the amazing attorney and person Edward Flint is . I am eternally greatfull for his honesty, hard work and kindness . Thank you again! Brooke
Ed is the kind of attorney who doesn't care more about the payday than his clients. He's always up front, honest, caring and makes sure you are comfortable as well as understand the facts of each case. He has continued to consult with me over the years giving me great advice which has helped me in several interesting situations and has been more than helpful each time. I have never felt so comfortable discussing legal matters with anyone else and he's my go-to man when I have any questions. If he isn't able to handle a case he knows who to refer me to that will do the best job. I highly recommend Ed as legal representation.
If you need representation, I highly recommend Ed Flint. He has represented me twice. He stood up for me and represented me when others were too timid in the courtroom. He presented my case well and made sure he knew the details. He my charges and negotiated with the prosecutor and the court to get serious charges reduced to minor issues. Very highly recommended.
My experience with Ed was positive from the beginning. He worked with me on payment arrangements that fit my budget, but that didn't stop him from giving me top-quality legal counsel from the very beginning. The outcome of my case was just what I had hoped for and he achieved it quickly and efficiently. Also, he responds to communication very quickly, even when he was in the hospital with unexpected surgery. Mr. Flint is an excellent criminal defense attorney for Southern Utah, and while I hope to never be in need of his services again, I would highly recommend him to anyone who does.
I endorse Ed Flint as a lawyer who will fight with all that he has for the pursuit of justice in defense of his clients! He actually takes cases to trial because they need to be tried. Anyone considering Ed as an attorney should feel very comfortable that he is prepared to fight... and he WILL!
The law is not the law—politics play a big role in winning your case, and you need someone who can successfully navigate the courthouse. With deep experience, Ed understands where to pick your battles and how to fight them. Most importantly, Ed is responsive. He answers emails or calls quickly and keeps you in the loop—allowing for better and smarter collaboration between client and attorney. Ed helped us get a positive result in difficult circumstances.
I have known Mr. Flint personally and professionally for 20 years. 17 years ago I was arrested for a serious crime that I did not commit. Most lawyers are jaded in these types of situations, as soon as you leave your retainer payment in the office, they are on the phone with prosecutors to cut a plea bargain deal. Not Ed. I wish I could tell you how great Ed was in the courtroom regarding my case, but the case was dismissed one day before the trial date. In doing some research afterwards, I was told by a lawyer friend of mine that he had never heard of a case of this type being dismissed outright by SLC Prosecutors in his entire career. This happened because Ed's post arrest-pre trial investigative work and motions were so extensive, he PROVED definitively that the crime I was accused of, simply never did happen. 17 years and 5 kids later that I never would have had without Ed's assistance, I can honestly say that he saved my life. Instead of being called "Inmate 123456" at the Utah State Prison, I am now referred to as "Doctor". On the professional side, I have had the opportunity to witness Ed in court as a hired expert witness on several of his cases. Watching him work a jury is simply poetry in motion, and one of the highlights of my professional experiences. I have referred many close friends and professional acquaintances to Ed over the past decade, and without fail, all have come back to me with the same, or similar conclusion that I came to 17 years ago: "This guy saved my life." My opinion of lawyers, especially criminal defense lawyers, is not exactly high. However, Mr. Flint fights for each case like he was defending a member of his own family. The manner in which he handles his retainer fee arrangements are simple, straightforward, and fair. My only complaint I have about Ed is that for a lawyer with over 25 years of courtroom experience, I often lament to him that he should be charging as much money as some of the more widely known trial lawyers in Utah. Alas, "greed" does not drive Mr. Flint...his passion for his craft, justice, and strong desire to assist the "underdogs" in his community are his driving passions. If you have been arrested for a serious felony in Washington County, I would strongly suggest that you stop your search for other lawyers in the area, and immediately give Ed a phone call. Passionate. Humorous. Fiery. Talented. When your life is literally on the line, you can't afford to make the wrong choice regarding a criminal defense lawyer. My life was on the line 17 years ago, and other than choosing my spouse, retaining Edward Flint as my counsel, still remains the best choice I ever made. I am honored to know him as a professional, and have even been more honored to now know him, his lovely wife, and family, as friends and confidantes.
Mr. Flint is definitely an attorney who is willing to go above and beyond for his clients. I worked as an expert witness on a case with him, and he was willing to think outside the box in defending his client. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone.
I had a great experience with Mr. Flint! I was charged with my first DUI. I was so ashamed of myself. I am a single full time mother of 2 and I co-own a business, both of which I couldn't be away from. He got me off with no jail time nor community service. I have to wear an ankle bracelet for 30 days, which I am glad to do considering my situation. I am very grateful for the hard work he and Eric did for me. They were easy to work with and I absolutely loved their paralegal, who's name escapes me at the moment (sorry hon!) In all they are awesome!

They were easy to work with and I absolutely loved their paralegal, who's name escapes me at the moment (sorry hon!) In all they are awesome!
