After graduating from Miami Killian Senior High, Eduardo traveled north to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, where he graduated with High Honors with a B.A. in Political Science in 1994. He then proceeded to earn the distinction of becoming a "Double Gator" by obtaining a J.D. with Honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1997.Eduardo practiced general civil litigation in Jacksonville before relocating to southwest Florida, where he began practicing primarily as a family law attorney in 2005. Since then he has represented literally hundreds of family law clients from their initial consultation all the way to their mediation or trial, and in a couple of cases, the post-judgment appeal.Along the way, Eduardo learned what clients value the most from their family lawyers: competence, accessibility, and trust. In 2011, Eduardo began practicing exclusively as an Orlando family law attorney at a large law firm. Since then, he has litigated in front of all of the current family law judges in Orange and Seminole counties, and in the courtrooms of family law judges in Osceola, Lake, Brevard, and Volusia counties. Helped with my DCF case involving my son. My son was taken by the state and Mr. Mejias got him back for me! Highly recommended if you’re involved in a dependency case with the state. He listened to my needs, listen to my son’s needs, and represented us very well to the state. Very pleased with his work. Reviews saying otherwise, I feel... are just internet trolls. Over my life I have had more than my fair share of dealing with divorce attorneys. It is my opinion, Mr. Mejias is in the upper 1% of divorce attorneys. He is smart, shoots straight from the hip, honest and VERY knowledgeable. I personally witnessed him being a professional shark in the courtroom when the need arose. Additionally, his pricing is reasonable and he doesn't nickel & dime you to death with frivolous charges. He genuinely cares and clearly has his clients best interest at heart. It was truly an honor working with him in resolving the motion my ex-wife initiated almost one year after the divorce was final. The divorce had originally been handled by a different attorney. If more attorneys were like Mr. Mejias, attorneys in general would not have the bad reputation that most are categorized as having. If you have a legal need in anything he specializes in; do your case a favor and hire him!!!

He left me and my daughter to fend for ourselves after I paid him money to help us. I would not recommend him for anyone.
