About

A native Mississippian, after having lived all over Mississippi, Ed Williams made his way back home to the Mississippi Delta, where his father and grandparents are from. Growing up, Ed spent much of his free time in Ruleville, MS, and knew that he would always have a home in the Delta.            After graduating high school, Ed played baseball at Mississippi Valley State before making his way to Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He then went into business management, before deciding to attend Mississippi College School of Law.            While at MC Law, Ed set himself apart from the rest of his peers. He was a member of the Law Student Bar Association, American Association for Justice, and the Mississippi Association for Justice. He honed his talent for advocacy as a member of the MC Law Moot Court Board, where he won first place in the national American Bar Association Arbitration competition, and was selected for the inaugural Dave Galyon Award for trial advocacy. Outside of the classroom, he gained experience with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, where he worked in the DUI unit, and also worked at the Rankin County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted and tried felony cases.            After graduating from MC Law with honors, Ed accepted a prestigious clerkship with the Eleventh Circuit Court District, where he worked under Senior Circuit Court Judge Albert B. Smith, III, and broadened his knowledge of criminal and personal injury matters. After his clerkship ended, Ed entered into a partnership with Arthur Calderon, forming Calderon & Williams, PLLC.            Ed is married to Heather Williams, and they have one child, Edgar Dale “E.D” Williams, III. Ed’s hobbies include the outdoors and cooking.
