About
Earle Lasseter earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Auburn University in 1957, where he also served as the Legislative Editor of the Alabama Law Review. In 1966, he received a LL.B. from the University of Alabama and began practicing law as a member of the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Mr. Lasseter entered the U.S. Army as an Armor Officer in (1958) and retired from the JAG Corps as a Colonel in 1988 to begin private practice with Pope McGlamry.Mr. Lasseter is an active member of the Columbus, GA Bar; Russell County, AL Bar; Alabama State Bar; State Bar of Georgia (Member, Board of Governors, 1995-2010); District of Columbia Bar; Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, (Board of Directors 1990-1998); Member, Board of Trustees, Institute of Continuing Legal Education for the State Bar of Georgia, (1989-1995); Georgia Trial Lawyers Association; and the American Bar Association. In the ABA he served as Treasurer, (1999-2002); Member, Board of Governors, (1996-2002); Member, House of Delegates, (1991-2005); Nominating Committee, (1992-1995); Rules and Calendar, (1994-1996); Standing Committee on Meetings & Travel, (1993-1996); Standing Committee on Legal Assistance for Military Personnel, (1992-1995); Chairman, General Practice Section, (1991-1992); Chairman, Standing Committee on Governmental Affairs, 2002; President, American Bar Retirement Funds, 2002; and Armed Forces Law, 2006. His hobbies include Golf, Tennis, Swimming and Track.Mr. Lasseter currently focuses on practicing law in the areas of tort liability, personal injury, products liability, automotive crash-worthiness, and wrongful death.
