I was facing a federal wire fraud charge and scared to death. Doug Trant met with me and was straight with me from day one. It was the second offense I was facing and Doug was honest with me from day one that I would be looking at a little time; all he could help do was reduce it. He took my calls every time I called over the next year awaiting prosecution. I was looking at a 41-51 month sentence and Doug's defense got me the 41 month end. He didn't stop helping even when I was inside. He always replied to my emails and helped the whole way. Now, out almost six years, he is still my friend and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a criminal defense.
Mr. Douglas A. Trant represented me in 1995 when I got myself in a whirl of trouble. I was held without bond for 21 days until Mr. Trant plead my case until a United States Federal Judge agreed to release me. I was sentenced to 66 months in Federal Prison which Mr. Trant spent with from the outside looking in. One example that I will never forget, I had a mild stroke that caused me to lose vision in my left eye. Of course, the doctors on the inside were not too helpful so I wrote Mr. Trant a letter explaining to him my conditions. Mr. Trant took upon himself to write the Warden of the prison which then the Warden took the matter in his own hands and had me sent to professional optometrists on the outside. Guys on the inside who had been locked up for 20 years had said that they never heard from their lawyer not one time. Needless to say that is why he is my Angel sent from Heaven Above!! I will highly recommend him in any defense case in the world. Not to mention my friend, James Bradley RIP, who took his case to trial and Mr. Trant turned the informer into the crackhead informant lawyer that he truly was right before the Jury allowing a dismissal of the case. He is one hell of an advocate for any circumstance.
Douglas Trant is an tremendous defender of his clients. He is very knowledgeable, and kept me informed , and explained everything that was going on in my case. He fought for me, and my rights throughout. I don't think their is anyone more experienced, or qualified in the law. If you want someone who is going to fight for you til the end he is your guy.
Even though he's best known for criminal defense, he handled a heated landlord dispute and some other financial documents with seeming ease. It put my mind at rest to have someone with the experience and knowledge of Mr. Trant.
