Unfortunately, my ex-husband has taken me to court repeatedly over the past decade. Because of this, I've had the 'opportunity' to work with more law firms and attorneys in the Treasure Valley than I can count on one hand. I've had VERY good lawyers over the years, but none were as caring, thorough, and honest as Maggie Ryan and Chuck Bauer. In addition to garnering my respect, these two attorneys are held in high regard by their peers. Being at the courthouse is something I have to do at least 6 times a year. It never ceases to amaze me how many lawyers approach Mr. Bauer and Ms. Ryan when we make it to the 4th floor. It's usually just to smile and say hello, but that says a lot, in my opinion. I genuinely like the Bauer Ryan law firm and all the folks who work there. Every person I have dealt with over the past couple years was polite, competent, and well-versed in their role. If you've been to court before, you may identify with what I'm saying when sometimes with a law firm, you'll get a rock-star attorney, and then the paralegals don't quite hit the mark... Or, you get a great paralegal, but the admin and/or attorneys are less than helpful. Not with Bauer Ryan. I know they are just as busy as other firms, but you do get treated well, and you know that they are ALL there for you and they want what's best for you and your family. Both Chuck and Maggie will tell you the truth, no matter how hard it is to swallow... They will explain their strategies and your options, and listen when you have concerns. They know the law, the court's tendencies, and what is in your best interest. Some advice may anger or frustrate you, but the truth is that they know what they are doing, and that's what you are paying them for. They are there to HELP you. Remember that you are in a heightened state of emotional distress... If something hits you wrong, they are willing to let you digest it for a few days. I have personally asked for time with decisions, and they are open to that. They understand the depths of pain people go through in family lawsuits. In the courtroom, they will highlight the important pieces of your case, pay attention to the arguments against you, and tackle any untruths or twists being thrown against you. And, they consistently remind the judge of the significance of any key evidence that may get downplayed. They are both tip-top. Of course, there's no guarantee they will win for you... But, they will do their best to represent you in the most optimal way, and help you through your difficult time. You will feel like you have good people in your corner.
Terrible, encourages lying and cheats to win. She is condescending and rude, I was appalled at what she suggested I do to win custody. This town is too small.
After paying her several thousand dollars, she withdrew from our case just weeks prior to court hearing. Don't waste your time or money on this crooked, I use the term loosely, attorney. Would not recommend her, ever.
