About
I am a long time resident of the Augusta/North Augusta area, having lived here since 1970. I have practiced law exclusively in this area since graduation from law school in 1984. Personally, I am a single father and have three children -- one in college, one in high school and one in elementary school. I am involved in their lives, as I have coached both of my sons in youth baseball leagues for 14 years in North Augusta, and my daughter in volleyball during the two years she played. I am a Christian and active in my church, having served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and on various groups and committees. I am active in the community. I presently serve on the Board of Directors of the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, and am a member of Augusta (Ga.) Chamber of Commerce. I also curently serve on the Board of Directors of the University of Georgia Alumni Association (Augusta Chapter). I have previously served as Chairman of a United Way sponsored agency. Also, I was selected for and completed the "Leadership Augusta" program. I am an avid runner, having run a marathon, a few half marathons, and many 10K and 5K races. I do my best to try and stay fit, and also cycle and workout regularly. I enjoy traveling, attending sporting events, and generally being active in my "spare time". But, I also like spending time with friends and family grilling out, watching a movie, or just enjoying each other's company.

Don White handled the estate for my mom. Seems "ordinary" enough, doesn't it? You just look up any attorney, hire them, and boom.... have them handle your estate. Simple! How hard could it be, right? Before you answer, think about it for a moment. Because when met with circumstances such as the dynamics within OUR family, it was ANYTHING but "simple" for Mr. White. Highlights include: Lost paperwork from my moms employer... twice. A terminally ill sister who was the personal representative.... but was far too ill to perform the duties. A brother, who was forever waffling between "playing by the rules" and "burning everything to the ground" from one minute to the next. And myself... who lived too far away to really be of any help to the aforementioned sister on a daily basis, so I was constantly calling Mr. White.... and crying (how embarrasing).... on the phone over the whole sad and ridiculous situation! But through it all, Mr. White was patient, kind, and extremely understanding. Day or Night, he always called me back.... personally, I might add.... and always had an answer of some kind for me. I'm thankful to have had Don White as the attorney for my mom's estate. He is one HARD working man. I would absolutely recommend him.
Don has worked with me in closing on two houses. Both closings were by proxy and involved out of town lawyers as well. There were several delays on the other party's side, but Don and his staff kept me informed and current on all issues. He was great to work with.
He is very smart in what he does. Mr. White takes time to listen his clients.
I found Donald Hunter White to be an excellent attorney. I used him for a closing on my house. His professionalism is unparalled. He is courteous, patient in answering the questions that I had, and efficient. The appointment I made was kept on-time. No wait time! The closing didn't take long because of his meticulous preparation. His secretary warmly greeted me. I heartily recommend Donald Hunter White for legal work. I plan on using him exclusively for all of my future legal needs including writing my will. He can do it all!
